Default Instrument lights

OK, I was out in the XF's winter lair, warming her up, and playing some tunes on the great stereo while I looked out at the cold Vermont winter slooowwwllly passing. I read the owners manual, trying to find how to dim the instrument lighting. No luck. Every car I've had since the 70's had a dimmer on the dash somewhere. Where the hell is it?

Thanx all. I'll try it tomorrow. I still can't find it in the OM.
