Default Top Operation Question

Can someone explain how raise/lower the top?

Picked up an 06 from my mother last night and she could get the top to go down. We latched the board thing in the trunk, undid the D ring inside but nothing happens when the button is pushed.

Any ideas. I only drove the car home last night. My wife took the car to work and wonders how to get the top down.

thanks for any help. I image we are just doing something wrong.

Make sure the trunk seperator is secure in the clips. Redo it to be sure. Release the overhead latch and push the top up about 8". Hold the button to lower the top down until it is down.

I also responded to your other thread, but for now, le'ts keep the discussion here:

Do the windows go down when you unlatch the top and push it up away from the frame?
Does the light in the switch come on when the top is unlatched?
Do you get any beep when you hit the button?
