Default Day time running lights

We just got your XF Roadster Saturday. Question about if the Automatic has day time running lights. The manual mentions it but the dealer didn't know and our cars light don't turn up. One salesman said this is if the car is sold in Europe. He was guessing. Can anyone verify the day time running lights or have any info?

Daytime running lights are also mandatory in Canada. Mine has them and this creates a problem that I have never experienced with any other car. Because the lights are so bright, you get in the car at night and unconsciously think the lights are on when in fact it is only the daytime running lights. After five minutes of driving, you realize that you have been driving without your taillights. I think this is something that needs to be addressed but haven't heard anyone else complain about this problem.

Default Re: Day time running lights

I'm in the U.S. and haven't seen any with daytime running lights. Actually, I wish they had automatic lights. I'm so used to not doing anything with the lights ever, from the CTS I had last. I guess that's just one of those things you have to get used to with a new car. I am in the habbit now of turning the light **** right 1 click and pulling it out 2. That way I feel like I have daytime running lights and my fog lights are on. They look cooler on than off.

I guess you might consider mine Automatic but only once when you get hit in the rear-end at night, you might reconsider.

Have you started packing yet?

Yep! I'm almost ready to go.
Only I think I might go through internet withdrawal, and I'm going to miss driving my roadster, but right now, all I can do is think of lying on the beach and that doesn't sound so bad!
