Default back up camera question

I did search and read through several threads but have really not come across an answer. I was in audio express and I'm getting a new radio, the kenwood marine 9855 I think. I was also looking at back up camera options and they had a few that are in the rear view mirror but the rear view mirrors are twice the size of the original one.

Has anyone put one in and what does it look like?

Default Re: back up camera question

I put one in that uses a small Wi-Fi transmitter and transmits the video to an app on my iphone (or android). Works great, especially since there's no room for a dedicated screen.

I know you want it to come on in reverse, but since I didn't want to spend the bucks on a head unit with video input for a camera, I got one that generates a wifi signal, sends it to an app on my iphone and now I have an easy to install back up camera. Lovin' it! Makes getting out of the mall a breeze!

It's a wifi backup camera that is installed inside my hatch, getting power off of a license plate light:
