Cool Blue tooth adapter for my 2007 roadster?

Is there such a thing as a blue tooth adapter for the 2007 Crossfire Ltd? I looked on amazon and they require an aux 3.5mm plug. I don't see such a port in my stock radio nor an aux feature. But on occasion someone on this forum has a way to do stuff that is quite ingenious. Is it but a dream?

Thanks Popeye

I'm afraid your options are:

1. New head unit.
2. FM Transmitter with Bluetooth. (

)

There's just no inputs on the OEM radio. I went with a Clarion M502 head unit myself, based only on looks, as it even matches up with the "spine" that runs through the dash There's a couple other silver ones the guys around here like pretty well.

I just did this this weekend. I used an FM modulator (iSimple from Amazon) that plugs directly into the back of your stereo into the antenna port. The signal is strong and no static.

Then I used a bluetooth receiver and plugged it into the new "aux in" instead of using an audio cable.FM modulator.png

Thanks guys, appreciate the info. Only use the Crossfire once or twice a week, so will pass on mods. So need is minimal. Just thought it would be nice to have. Seems like as little as I use it somebody will always call. They'll just have to leave a msg, till I can get stopped. Thanks agn....Popeye

I wanna do the same thing to my factory radio. I dont want to buy another unit. I would do the same setup. Where did you get the aux jack and where does it plug into the radio? Douse it plug into the "Simple" FM modulator? Hows the radio reception with the device installed?

If I purchased a head unit I would purchace a unit that has a rear view camera. The camera would turn on only when the car is in reverse.

Here's a link to the iSimple antenna bypass: Refurbished iPad with Retina display Wi-Fi 64GB - Black (4th generation) - Apple Store (U.S.)

The reception is great on mid to strong stations, weak ones suffer a little. The sound is clear and crisp with no static. You will also need these adapters for the antenna:

The bluetooth receiver came with a plug that plugs directly into the adapter module and has a female 3.5mm jack. I got this from Best Buy for $25

I know you want it to come on in reverse, but since I didn't want to spend the bucks on a head unit with video input for a camera, I got one that generates a wifi signal, sends it to an app on my iphone and now I have an easy to install back up camera. Lovin' it! Makes getting out of the mall a breeze!

It's a wifi backup camera that is installed inside my hatch, getting power off of a license plate light:

A Bluetooth Speakerphone should do the trick. They can do hands-free calls and text, and most have fm transmitter to playback through the radio's speakers. No wires required.

If you want to stay with a stock radio, I have a stock navigation unit and the RCompart iPad/Aux control unit I would sell.
