Got the Dark slate and cedar. I loved the dark slate and vanilla but couldn't imagine keeping it clean. I've had red interiors before and really liked this one. Looking forward to its arrival sometime in March or April.

The vanilla is very hard to keep clean, but worth it.

Just found out mine is shipping on the 21st. I assume it should take about a month after that to reach the dealer. Should take delivery sometime early March. Tried to time the ordering to avoid the snow. Looks like the dealer pushed it a little early. You want to see a gorgeous car, check out the cover story on the new Car & Driver (2/05). Now thats a gorgeous Chrysler!

There was a Chrysler promo Ad here in SoCal for a 2004 Ltd coupe for $299, 39mo, 2999 d/o
in Sept. 2004.
I heard 2005 Roadster Ltd goes for around $420, 36mo, under 2k d/o.

Angry Re: Leases vs. Buying

I am so upset. I have been looking at the Crossfire for several months. Finally went to one of my local Chrysler dealers wanting to purchase a Crossfire Roadster LTD. I have been reading everyones great posts and ideas here for over a month. The dealership just tried to rip me off ! They wanted 1500 down and 549 a month, 12000 mile as year on a lease. Our sales tax here is only 5.5%. Someone in New York got much more of a deal than I would have here. It is in the middle of the winter here in Nebraska and has been below freezing for over a week so far, Im sure they are not selling to many convertables this time of year. So I walked out and left, totally crushed and discouraged! I do love this forum and enjoy all of you out there!

Mike

Man, that really stinks. Are there any other dealers out there? Maybe you can check on line? You can shop on line and pick one out you want and they give you a dealer that'll give you a price. At least the GM site does that. I'm assuming that Chrysler does that too. Get a price on paper and take it to that dealership(if there aren't any others around) and ask them "what gives?"

You're right. My deal in NY was $490./ Mos for 39 months with 12,000 miles a year and $0 down. That price includes the sales tax which in NY is 8.75%. The only thing I have to pay on pick up is the Motor vehicle fees. Thats on a factory order, not one thats been on the lot for several months. I ordered mine with a Nav system, auto stick and 2 tone leather interior. The only option i didn't take were the all season tires. I figured the car will never be driven on anything but dry pavement so there was no need for them. The only thing which can change the price a small amount is if the residual changes by the time I pick up the car. It is currently at 58% but could go down in the next 6 weeks or so but not dramatically. I have a vehicle ID# and the car is due to ship on 1/21 from Germany. I must say though that I have a great relationship with this dealer so he always cuts right to his best deal and is a pleasure to do business with. I've personally bought 7 cars from him and have referred 4 others. I too would have thought you could get unbelieveable deals on these cars now but I guess it has to do with availablity and competition. If he's the only dealer around hes got you by the cahones. I'm on Long Island, NY and there are no less than 4-5 Chrysler dealers within a 30 mile radius. My dealer has had the same 2-3 cars on his lot for months. You see very few Crossfires at all on the road and virtually no roadsters. I saw one parked in a mall parking lot and none on the road driving since they've come out. Porsche Boxsters are a dime a dozen as well as 911's and Vettes. Occasionally you see TT roadsters and S2000's but this care will be a rare breed in my neighborhood. Don't know why, its certainly more striking and gives you more for the money than most of those I mentioned. I guess it just doesn't have the cache that those cars have. They can keep the cache and I'll keep the cash. And I won't see myself coming and going.

Just to let everyone know My lease is $304.98 a month. I traded in a 1991 dodge W150 4x4 as a down payment. This is the fourth car that I have leased from DC. Dont give up they can go a lot lower than what you think they can. And i mean a lot lower. The actual price that i got the Xfire for was less than what someone would pay for a half loaded Neon. Leases are good you just have to keep on your toes.

The dealership is Ed Tomko Chrysler Jeep 440-933-3500. Speak with Greg Tomko only and tell him Frank sent you. I have purchased three crossfires from him this year. First the 04 coupe, then the convertible roadster limited and now the srt6 convertible limited.

I spoke to Greg at Tomko Chrysler. Yes everyone this offer is true, however you have to be a resident of Ohio. I went back to my Chrysler dealer and they told me they dont know how they did it. Any idea's? I hate to call up Tomko again to bother him and ask how they are able to do it.
thanks Mike

OK..... here's the best deal I've got so far. 2005 Roadster Limited, Black w/dark slate interior (not 2 tone), automatic, $36,500.00, 39 month lease, with taxes included (new york=8.675%), $1000.00 out of pocket, $479.00 per month. Hows that?

Sounds reasonable. Mine was $490, $0 out of poicket (just MVB fees). Ltd. Rdstr. WITH 2 tone seats, with Nav. system for 36 months and 12,000 miles a year, including taxes (Suffolk Cnty sales tax). Some of the deals could be getting better soon. Latest Car & Driver comparing SRT6 Roadster, Porsche Boxster S, Corvette and SLK350 (SRT6 placed Fourth) says Chrysler has a 9 month supply of Crossfires sitting at the factory. Current deals are for a total of $2000 in incentives. They may get even better.
