Default Body Control Module and Wiper problems

Hello

Roadster 2005

If I fit a replacement Body Control Module does it have to be re programmed to my specific car.
My wipers will only stop when ignition is off, any ideas

Many thanks

I am not sure about the BCM to be programmed for your car.

Have you checked to be sure the multi-function switch is not causing the problem?

Check page 8R17 in the repair manual for diagnoses.

I will check all this out andfamiliarise myself with the equipment.
Only had the thing a couple of days, Doesn't bode well.

My 2 cents may not be worth that..

I had swapped BCM with my wife's car into my coupe ( checking lighting in hers). When I turned the ignition on in my coupe the wipers started up - non stop - till ignition was turned off. Seems I didn't fully get the wire harness seated.

As far as programming.. I was told "lucky" I didn't try to start the car.. (programming thing)
AND
I've read somewhere along the way that approximately 20 seconds of ignition on is required for this.

Not much help but do dig into the BCM programming as best as you can.
