2005 inter 2005 limited roadster
I need help finding interior parts tht where damaged during servicing. The ignition switch was replaced and the guy broke the plastic piece around it. I checked with my dealer and they can not find the part. The guy that broke it said he found the part ,but he does not want to pay 900$..that is what he said the cost was. I would like for anyone out there that has a method of finding the part surrounding the ignition to the car to let me know how to get it. Thanks to all
Are you talking about the halo (ring) that is around the cylinder that accepts the key? If yes, it is an antenna, that tells the security system, the proper key has been inserted.
I might add, it's not that simple, just trying to get on the same page.

I need interior part ZC16X0VAA. My dealership can not find the part. It is the plastic molding that surrounds the ignition switch. I had waited over a month for them to locate a source and they keep telling me they are trying. I have personally tried locating the part to get it fixed.
Telling someone else to fix the problem has not worked. I am trying to avoid small claims court over this. If I find the part I have more options to deal with the situation.

I've never heard of someone needing one, WHICH MEANS that every crossfire in every junk yard has it's still intact.
Should be easy to find on "pick-a-part".
I'm impressed that someone found a part number....

It is, I think it IS what you posted. I thought you were just posting a photo to try to help, if you are willing to sell that item, then his search is over.
If you look at the picture of the back of the halo ring posted here you can read the Mercedes part number A170 462 00 57, this is the plastic cap number.
From the parts list for the SLK32/320 on this site the transponder coil part number is A168 462 02 53, that is the part with the wire and plug on it.
Remember most parts have the Mercedes part number on them and not the Chrysler part number for which you will pay a premium. Always remember that fact.
