Wiring question - were does this attach?

We are the new owners of an 05 Crossfire convertible. Several items were removed from the trunk before we purchased. Any idea what this connects? It comes from the wiring harness on the right side of the trunk.

There are 2 wires going into the plug - a yellow/brown wire and a grey/red wire. Until we figure it out, the top doesn’t work, doors don’t lock/unlock with fob, interior lights don’t come on when doors open, etc.

Can’t be driver’s side though. The wire isn’t long enough. It’s on the passenger’s side of the trunk and is approximately 18” long.

You are right, Jim is mistaken. The light is on the passenger side.

That goes to the central locking pump for the siren.

Would the trunk light assembly be part of the trunk interior that was removed perhaps?

Steve, If it’s to the central locking pump, where does it plug in? I can’t find anywhere to plug it.

One is yellowish brown and the other wire is grey and orange

Sorry, that should be the anti tow device , on the back of the bulkhead. Stretch the cable towards the front of the car , it should be right here if they didn't remove it..

The wire won’t reach to the bulkhead. Would it be possible to have my husband talk to you by phone?

You "should" have a panel at the "tag" side of the trunk.. there IS an interior light on the right hand side.. pretty sure that is what it goes to.

The only wires in that area are for the CLP/SSM, and the anti-tow sensor as far as I know apart from the rear lights.
Not having a convertible I am not too sure what else it could be.
It could go to the CLP/SSM as the locks do not work from the fob and the interior lights do not come on.
Is the pump damaged by water?
The trunk light on the coupe is on the left hand side on the LHD cars.
Wires are described by the main insulation color and the stripe color if there is one. The OPs wire description looks wrong in at least one case, it should be red/grey.
