Default No computer comunication with scanner

Hello and good day to all,

I just got a 2005 limited cabriolet and the mechanic was checking my car for any problem and when he plugged the computer scanner there is no communication at all.

Problems.

1. Radio not turning on he said that maybe someone put the battery on backwards
2. Computer no comunication with scarnner
3.soft top not going down
If someone can help with this question and problems please let me know thanks in advance.

And if someone know of anyone selling a set of headlight.

Regards,

So does the car start and run? You make it sound like it does but you are not clear.

Are we troubleshooting a car that won't start, or just 'no radio, no top operation'?

Cabriolet Limited? Are we talking about a VW in a Chrysler forum? Might be a typo?

Convertible

A convertible or cabriolet is a passenger car that can be driven with or without a roof in place. The methods of retracting and storing the roof vary between models.

His use of the term is technically correct, from what I read. It's just not common use.
We will convert him(her?) in time.

Me too. A "convertible" to me is just a car with a drop-top, "Roadster" implies, to me anyway, a two seat sports-car-type configuration.

But, that's how I define it, just me.

I always use the term roadster.

I read the following on the internet so it must be true!

A roadster is an open two-seat car with emphasis on sporting appearance or character. Initially an American term for a two-seat car with no weather protection, usage has spread internationally and has evolved to include two-seat convertibles.

Ok, then this is what I have to add:

1) Radio not turning on, check BOTH radio fuses in the box under hood, if both good, verify they both have power with key on, if they do, go to Best Buy and get a new JVC or Kenwood radio.
2) Top not working - you have got to go into more detail here, this is probably unrelated to the radio issue.

We found that the hydraulic oil is really low we are going to fill it and see how is going to go.
But for your question some times you can hear the machines working and then stop at around 10 % of the operation and the button is flashing red and sometimes beeps.

Thanks

When you top it off and cycle the top a few times, perhaps then you can spot the leak.
This fluid does not evaporate, if it's low, it went somewhere.

In here, members use what you say to help diagnose your problem(s). Calling a crossfire convertible/roadster a cabriolet doesn't help if there is a VW cabriolet. Think about that when you ask for help and post abstract verbiage for something that can be misunderstood for a VW (not withstanding there was no 2005 VW Cabriolet). Good luck, onward. ;(

Yes, we ARE talking about a SPECIFIC vehicle, that is the point.
GG does make a good point, posting anything that is unclear, vague or "individual" wastes time, both yours and ours; GG is not being critical of you, he is trying to help you. An online forum is about clear communication - the fact that so many forget this is what makes helping people with technical issues so difficult.

Keep in mind that we are not standing next to your car, the ONLY thing we have to go on are a few words typed here .
