Hi, I would be grateful if anyone could advise me what to do? I was trying to repair the elastiacted straps at the rear sides of the hood, with the top half open so I gain easier access, and the rear end of the top slowly dropped, now I can't seem to move it either way, I don't want to force it and damage something. Does anyone know what I can do to release it,? before this incident the top worked perfectly except it caught slightly at the corners because the elastic acted straps had deteriated, any help would be much appreciated, cheers, Steve

 

The pressure just bled down which is normal after 10 minutes. This Utube video will explain it all.

 

Success this morning, hydraulic pressure had gone so fixed the initial problem with 3 inch black elasticated strip, £2. Superglued together around hood frame, thanks for all the advise, cheers, Steve.

 

Hi guys, I also noticed my heated rear window connection on one side has come loose, can it just be soldered back? Thanks again Steve.

 

Should be possible with a big enough gun/iron and some flux and quality rosin core solder.
