I am looking for the right rear side flap cable for a 2006 Chrysler Crossfire P/N 05140962AA.
It is the cable that raises and lowers the flap to open and close the roof.
Does anyone know where to get it?

The description on the website sounded like the top cables, not tonneau flap cables.

 

Why is it so difficult to find this part?

Our cable goes above the side window ( Side cables)

For Tonneau we don’t have it

 

No very difficult if not impossible to find 1 You can try Bicycle or Motorcycle shops to duplicate.

 

My wife accidentally broke one when she was helping me re-sync the top. She had her hand on the flap and the end of the cable popped, my bad I should have told her not to put her hand there. I spliced in a new loop with coated wire fishing leader and crimp sleeves, a bit tedious but its holding. The bike shop is a good idea too.

 

I WONDER IF A bicycle shop could make these cables ?

 

Yes, they can however a member on the Crossfire Forum makes them.

 

Bike cable, housing and crimps are pretty cheap on Amazon. Trick would be getting the length correct. But you can also get the adjustment sleeves like on a bile.
