Default top hydraulic problem

Hi all, been awhile since I visited. Anyone else had a problem with a hydraulic line rupture. My top has been in the up position for over 3 weeks now waiting on the parts. The parts finally came in last week but no time to get to the shop to get her fixed.
Why would it take so long to get parts? It must have cost quite a bit to put me in a new Sebring drop top from enterprise. Over nighting the part would be cheaper right?
I've owned it since may 2004, now has 13,000 miles on it. Boy did the price drop since then.

sorry to hear that about your top bill. Mine only has 3,500 on it in 13 months and I was wondering if the hydraulics for the top would be a problem. Hope it didn't break halfway up or down. Mine only has another month before it goes into hibernation for 6 months, whereas you will be enjoying it all year round.

They really had a problem fixing this top. This is the second time it has been in for this problem. Took forever to get the parts and when they took it apart to fix it they realized they didn't have everything they needed. Another 4 days go by, today they were not optimistic about getting it back on the road. However, late this afternoon they called to say it was fixed. Luckily they have put me in a brand new Sebring drop top when it goes in. Down side, with just over 1,000 miles on it, the top does not work.
I'll pick it up tomorrow and hope for the best!
No hibernation here, with gas so high, this is my economy car now.
Bill
