Default Normal Temperature?

I've only had my car for a week but I noticed the temperature gauge stays a little over halfway. Is this normal? This is in 62 degree weather.

yeah that's fine. just a tick over halfway is normal. the car does seem to run a bit hot, IMO.

That comes in real handy when we northerners have to start up on a particularly cold morning... The car heats up FAST!

That does appear normal. I'm an AZ driver... Desert or mountain it hangs in the same location. My dealer said there was a recall out there on fan motor.
Make sure you check that out also.

Check with one of the guys on this forum, he works at a chrysler dealer and can run your VIN to see if your fan recall has been done. I'm not sure of his name but try searching past posts, he told me mine was done and yes just a little past half way is normal. I live in Michigan.

Or... you can go to this website...

http://www-5.chrysler.com/webselfser...m%28%27R%27%29

...and type in the last 8 digits of your VIN and it will tell you if any outstanding recalls exist for your car.

Thanks for the link. Good to know. Mine does not seem to run hot. I live in the midwest.
