350Z driver gets an SRT-6 lesson
Well I finally got to run a 350Z. It's great knowing you are gonna win easily! I followed the guy thru a clover leaf exchange and he was taking it pretty quick, thought I couldn't hang I suppose. Then as we got out of the curve he's all in it, could smell his cat burning. It wasn't even close. I nail it take the left lane and pass him like he was standing still. Zipped from 65 to 100 in nothing flat. I let out, we do the 70 mph speed limit and the guy wouldn't even look over at me once he got next to me, he took the next exit. I wonder if he knew what that little SRT-6 badge stands for?
That'll teach him, good job! 350Z is a chick car anyway lol. since they're the only ones who can fit inside them hehehe.
Now he's probably off to the tuning shop, probably gonna spend $8,000 in mods for the next time...

Oh yaas, that little srt-6 badge. Probably has cofounded many a boy-racer who has taken a base crossfire. A guy in an LS430 tried to give me a run. He must have taken a base before which he probably could have. I edjumacated a Boxster also.

Yeah, you will take a Z...after all, I had one for 3 years. With a turbo though, the Z will take the SRT-6 model. Most people with Z's do not know the difference between the srt-6 and the regular Crossfire, which I am guessing he didn't either...which is good. I am always careful with racing Z's though, as I know of at least a dozen guys in the burbs of Chicago by me that are twin turbo'd....and even more single turbo'd.
And about chick cars, there was a lot more room in the Z than the Crossfire...but hey, I am ripping on the SRT-6, I love my SRT-6, but I also loved the Z, it was a great car, just tired of seeing them all over the road and wanted something a little more unique and rare.

...Well I had no doubt I'd take him to the woodshed out back, but he didn't have a clue I would. That was my point.
I'd rather race something competitive like an '05 or '06 GTO or an SRT-8 Charger. Still waiting to take out a Mousetang GT. That would be a joke like the 350Z. Seems like that would be an easy find since they are at every other light. Hard to find the GTO's and SRT-8's to run.

Keep your eyes peeled for a Carrera 4, someone on Crossfire.org has already smoked one, yet no one has gone up against the Carrea S in an SRT6. let us know if you can hunt one down.

BMW M3: made it around him without too much difficulty.
Cadillac XLR-V: Easy pickins. No trouble with that one.
Lexus IS350: surprisingly close on the freeway but still pulled him.
Mustang GT 2006: had him by .6 seconds and 8 mph in the quarter.
300 SRT8: had him by .25 and 2 mph in the quarter.
Charger SRT8: had this one my .3 seconds and 2.5 mph in the quarter.
The almighty LS-Juan (Firetirds and Trans Ams) have been hit and miss. Won some, lost some. Those are easy to make fast with minimum investment.

I'm pretty sure the Z has gobs more torque than the dinky little boosted sky. my money would be on the z.

just repeating what motortrend reported... see there website...z owners have problems realizing that most sports cars beat them on the street. the z ain't the $hit anymore...get over it...

When did they determine speed as the only factor on how good a sports car was? If I wanted just wanted speed and a good deal I would take an SRT-4 neon, Evolution or STI, but I think they are all ugly as sin. The Z was no where near as fast as my SRT-6, but the handling was a lot better and I felt more with the road.
The only problem I have with the SRT-6 is the aftermarket. I wish there was one. I could get just about anything for the Z, but the Crossfire, I will just be getting some springs and the Renntech Kit...still love it though.
