when you move it forward... i would leave it in gear with your foot on the brake to allow all the tranny fluids to generate movement. and make sure you allow the car to get to full operating temperatures before shutting it down.

I have mine in 'stored' in my 3rd garage bay. I try to go out once a week and start it up. I let it get to normal operating temperature, shift the transmission into all gears and go front wards or backwards enough so that it is not sitting in the exact spot (to avoid flat spots on tires). I also use STA-BIL fuel stabilizer before storage.
