Got the AMG badge on the back o the beast. Yesterday went to Apollo grill in Bethlehem to meet friends for drinks and park behind an ML 500 with AMG badge on it - Yeah sometimes they just buy a set of rims and they think it’s all that and a bag of chips.

So we are done and hanging around the car when the ML dude returns to his truck. As he passes by he let’s out a “yeah nice AMG buddy” So I pull out a crisp $100 and shoot back… bet you a hundred bucks that my car is more of a Mercedes and more of an AMG then your “American truck”. After a little chest pounding my fiend is holding $200 in her hands. I pop open the hood, point to the AMG inscription on the Supercharger, berate his American Merc, built here to avoid tariffs and duties. At which point he cries uncle…we the spend 20 minutes talking about the Crossfire, AMG, and how shitty the ML Class is (the ex had an ML320 - yeech). I go to hand him back the $100 and he says “ No I was being a jerk…” So the American Heart Assoc is now $100 richer thanks to the ricer!

Lol! Just think of all the people that are going to be making fun of you. Look at that wannabe, what a poser, etc, etc...

That guy wasn't even really well informed, and knew it was stupid. You are going to turn into Nicholas Cage from the weatherman, and try to explain to your relatives why you get hit with a frosty and other foods.

The people that don't know anything will laugh, and the real car guys will laugh as well. As I said. Mr. I wish I bought a MB.

Like I said, an AMG badge does not belong on this car. I think you should just go all out and slap a type R sticker on there. Then everyone will think you are cool.

And the SRT-6 is basically a SLK32, but and a big but...it is not. The Chrysler Crossfire was never tuned to be an AMG. The SLK was. And the crossfire concept was just fortunate enough to receive the MB and AMG parts.

People should use your logic and start badging the SRT-8 300C as a AMG. After all its suspension is tuned by AMG, has a MB tranny, and runs off the old E Class platform.

Just like an Elvis impersonator even though he looks, dresses, acts, and sings like Elvis. Indeed he is not.

It is a Chrysler, and I am sorry you cannot enjoy the car for what it is.

Why not simply "Google" (Chrysler Crossfire & AMG) and read all about it?

Did I say anything about the engine? And last time I check Mercedes Benz's don't use Chrysler Badging.

AMG badges do not belong on a Chrysler. PERIOD.

If you put it on your car, I am sorry.

It is the exact same thing as putting Toyota Racing Development emblems on a Pontiac Vibe. It's a toyota.

Engines are still tuned, and so are suspensions. AMG's are tuned. If you think there is no tuning by amg, ummm....you're special.

If I wanted an SRT-6, I would buy one. It is not like they are unattainable. It is a low-mid 20's car now. And if I did buy one, I sure wouldn't try to pose it off as something else. Perhaps this is why you wish to pose. Because it is only the price of a new Malibu, which takes from your "exclusivity."

Why call it an SRT-6? You don't want to. Why not just say MB AMG. Oh ya. That's right they are two different cars.

Good day sir.

LMK, how the rice badging goes in further threads, I can always use a good laugh.

Not for nothing, the SRT6 is by FAR the best 05' "mid 20's" car you will find anywhere period! Nothing will even compare to it's performance and styling for that price.
