Default New SRT-6 Purchase

Hello,
I just purchase a new SRT-6 on the internet. I will be picking the car up in a week from a dealer in Virginia. Is there anything that I should be aware of or specifically look for when I look over the car?
I intend to purchase an extended warrantee, can anyone recommend an extended plan that they have and like over the dealership offered plan?
Thank you.

Congrats, and welcome to the forum. This is a car you will absolutely fall in love with.
Did you buy it on e-bay?

Yes, I had been watching the prices closely and think that I got a good deal.

Yep, I think it's the one I was watching. Not that I was wanting to buy it, buy had curiosity for how low it would go. You got a great deal.

Be careful when spending on the 7/70 warranty. They will try to ream you there. Make sure to get the "Supreme" coverage and don't go over $1,500 for that coverage. (Rental car while car is fixed, all non-wear parts). The warranties are big cash cow for dealerships. And make sure the E-19 fan control module recall has ALREADY been done on it. Read the forum here for all the other Tech. Service Bulletins. The E-19 affected every Crossfire made (stocker and SRT6). Also keep an eye on sluggish acceleration due to the 2ndary water pump for the supercharger. Some SRT6's have had that issue. Don't let them replace the supercharger, only the water pump is bad... And, above all, find a dealership locally where you live that has a Crossfire-trained tech... Must be Crossfire trained. If they don't have one, find another dealership, otherwise they will guess their way to a solution while your car is out of service for weeks.

Great deal if you got it for $24-25K. It's a great car for that price.

I believe that Chrysler calls the extended warranty MaxiCare and covers 5,004 parts; rental car if it can't be fixed in a day; $100 deductible. I have it for all 3 of my Chryslers and have never spent anything for any repair and I've only been charged the deductible once ?!?! I believe the cost for my '04 XF was $1,600.

Thank you! I will look into that when I pick it up this week.

I was able to get 7 yr 85,000 mile full coverage warrantee for $1,400, with rental car and $100 deductible. I highly recommend Direct Dodge in Wytheville Va. if anyone is looking for an online purchase dealer. My out the door price was $25,600 for an '05 SRT-6 with 172 miles on it. I'll bet there are better deals to be had but none as easy, quick and supportive as these guys were with me.
