there goes my ic pump !
after reading all the stories and crossing my fingers hoping it doesn't happen to me, i think my ic pump is giving up the ghost. i have the sluggish acceleration and you can feel the supercharger kicking on and off on the highway sometimes .at times it wants to go, other times it feels like i have no power, and other times it feels like after a while it will kick itself on. my lease is basically up though so i probably will NOT bring it to the dealer to fix it. is that wrong ? the next buyer can get it fixed.
Are you sure its the int cooler pump? My car has been sluggish at times to, but I thought it was the heat outside. When it happened it was 95+ outside...
I only have 6,000 miles on the car. Let me know if you find out what the problem is...Thanx...

it has only happened lately since its been really hot, but the symptoms sound like the same that everybody has been experiencing with ic pump failures.
I was having the slugo problem and took her in, they had to order part. IC. They put new part in and trust me on this one. If you have a SRT-6, this car should never EVER be sluggish. She's a beast now that she's fixed. Awesome car.

well, i tried ! i brought it in to have them fix the IC pump. they did the E19 recall while it was in. they drove the car for over 20 minutes (in 90 degree FL heat) and could not replicate the SC shutdown and sluggish acceleration i was experiencing. they said they hooked the car up and it didn't pull any fault codes either. i must say though, on the way to work today i noticed the car runs cooler (temp wise) than before the recall (fan relay) and i only felt a tiny bit of sluggish acceleration before the SC kicked in.

before the recall it always ran right at the mark that was half way up on the temp gauge. occasionally it would go just above that line on hot days or during lots of sitting in traffic. now it runs slightly below that mark.
Interesting...Mine runs slightly above the half way mark pretty much all the time. I guess mine needs replacing too? I also put in water wetter, but it didn't do a thing...

New Update: was on the highway last night and noticed something interesting. the sluggish acceleration still comes and goes on the highway. however only when the car is in drive. i manually put the transmission in 4th gear and accelerated - no sluggishness at all, same thing in 3rd gear. it seems this problem is only when the transmission is in "d" at highway speeds . hmmm...

Now if you had enough room and patience you would see that if you mash the gas going 65 and HOLD it 120 will be upon you quicker then you think and in a very stealthy fashion. Why? Partly for MPG requirements and the EU-4 emissions standards, but that is why the car has the AMG tuned speed shift program...to learn more search speed shift on the forum. Your car seems to be working correctly...I think you need to spend some time in a regular car, your getting jaded.
