plasticky interior
am i the only one that goes crazy over this? the interior (primarily the doors and hatch area) rattle, creak, make noises like they are made out of fisher-price plastic. any time it goes over bumps and when it is hot out it gets worse. very disappointed by the quality.
Yes, i know what you are saying...I have rattles and such that are very annoying! One over my left shoulder where the seatbelt is and the other is on the passenger side door somewhere...I do like the interior overall though.

Vladie, I know exactly what you mean... I have a roadster and I enjoy bass with my music. It does rattle quite a bit, and even when the music is not on speed bumps and such will cause a slight rattle...anyone know anything about insulation for the doors such as Dynamat?

Mine doesn't rattle or creak though.

i added dynamat as needed on the inside of the door behind the panel on all the contact areas. i also removed the door speaker and insulated/dynamated behind the speaker.
the doors now feel much more solid and now are creak, squeak & rattle free... for the time being.

just 2 days ago... i dynamat'd the seat belt trim piece behind my shoulder... creaks are not gone.

Did you test drive the car?
You realize that it is a sports car, and they typically creak/rattle, etc.
Ever been in a Corvette? You can almost see the seams (interior) separate when you push it around curves, going over bumps, etc.
No intent to offend/razz, just wondering.

I don't think the interior of the XF is cheap plastic at all compared to some other cars. Our door panels and dash are made very well. The doors covers are a bit padded. The only hard plastic is the lower part of the dash, console and the trim behind the seat that's not carpeted. And, as hard plastic goes it seems like pretty good quality. Have you rented a Dodge, GM, or Ford lately? Now that is cheap plastic.
