And Jeremy Clarkson is still an idiot.
My point is the Crossfire was NEVER a 45K car, they just sold it for that much... And Yes JC is a Tool...

other than the roof, they are the same. i think because of the mileage (30k) and the constant pounding because of the extremely stiff suspension, plastic parts such as the door, seat belt enclosure, and dash have begun to rattle. i'm not saying its as bad as gm/ford products, but it is annoying none the less.

I have not heard any noises yet maybe because I'm still new to the car and enjoying the He!! out of it.

these cars are 25k now brand virtually brand new. Considering what you get they might have been worth 45k to begin with
a 330 horsepower engine producing over 100 horsepower per liter (easily and reliably tweaked to almost 400).
Hand-built engine might i add and put into a car the size of a s2000.

Amazing one of a kind styling, and a limited production car.

Seriously, even for 45k you can't have it all. So what if the interior has to much plastic, the car is so much more then its interior and you get what you pay for.

Maybe my mind will change when i own one but how bad could it possibly be considering what you paid for your car.

Shi**y interior and all, i think had diamler slapped benz symbol's on these cars they would have sold like hotcakes for 45k even with the same interior (minus srt badges).
These cars look 100 times better then the slk and CL.

I get just a bit of squeaking, mostly because the seat is jammed back against the bulkhead. I have long legs.

You are so right about that. Brand snobbery is out of control with these cars. They are worth every penny, and then some, too. They're more striking than the SLK (even the new models) and would be considered as a "daring" and "innovative" design if they had the MB logo.

The only time cinderella squeaks is when my husband is riding with me and he rest his arm on the arm rest on the door. I just turn up the tunes...

Have you rented a Dodge, GM, or Ford lately? Now that is cheap plastic.
I agree. Has anyone looked at the Solstice and Sky? Practically the whole interior is hard plastic. Don't try running your fingers around the lip of the inside door handle openings, you'll cut yourself from the hard unfinished edge.

I just had the door speakers replaced. The rattling on the doors comes from four pieces of plastic that clip into each other, like a sandwich. Adding a little glue to these plastic speaker baffles will quiet up your doors.

I have one of those '04 6 spd. models. You know, the ones that alot of Crossfire owners tell you to stay away from because these cars had the most problems.
All I can tell you is, this car has done nothing but perform perfectly for everyone of the 27,000 miles I've put on it since I purchased it new in April of 2005.
Sure the interior has a lot of plastic, but I really can't think of any car under 50K that doesn't.
This has been the "tightest" car I've owned, (and I've owned a few) it has no squeaks or rattles at all. I did have to "adjust" the rear hatch rubber bumpers a couple of times, but that's it.
I sure hope I didn't just "jinx" my good fortune.
