Default Renntech pulley and chip

I just wondering what this alone boosts the srt-6 performance to. I know it gives the slk something like 395 horse. Does it gives the crossfire that much or does it stay a little detuned compared to the benz?

The SRT6 should be close to that. Some estimate it to be ~ 385 while some say ~ 400. Either way, it's a pretty substantial gain.

I talked to bob at renntech mercedes via email and got the info.
The pulley and ecu give the srt-6 385 horsepower and 400 foot pounds of Torque as compared to the slk32 which gets 394 hp and 387 with upgrades.
Top speed 186 for both i believe.
Looks Pretty close to me.
Sub 13 second quarter miles with ease.

AND THE SRT_6 KIT is NOT THE SAME KIT AS THE BENZ.

ITS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT AND $300 CHEAPER.

Cost $3,000 USD (pretty cheap way to get a damn near super car or).

He said the chip is easily change back to stock
and the pulley upgrade takes about 2 man hours.

a dumb question perhaps -

does all of this destroy the warranty?
I've never seen a definitive answer on that.

Thanks for the info. Funny, I almost contacted them yesterday since their website only has data on the non-SRT Crossfires. Three grand for a chip and pulleys is still alot of money but I'll probably do it anyway.

Any ideas on how it would affect the warranty? I suppose that a Chrysler Tech might not even notice the pulley, but what about the ECU when they plug in the scanner/diagnostic machine? I would also have to assume from my previous experience with modded cars that this would not affect the non-powertrain related parts such as Windows, AC, Stereo, etc...

Hmmm, It's alot to spend on a voided warranty for a car that obviously needs all the warranty you can get...

Upgrading the ECU does not affect your warranty! They want even know anything happened. Remember the SRT6 is detuned, you paid for that Hp. The 3.2 amg supercharged motor is a 354 hp motor. Chrysler detuned it. Your just getting it back, but the pulley upgrade is not covered!!!
