Unhappy Air/Vacuum noise when pressing hard on accelerator

Today I got in the car and was driving. When I tired to accelerate hard I noticed a "leaking air" sound behind the dashboard. Also, it didn't seem that the acceleration was as good as normal.
Any ideas?

Rob

Hmmm, once in a while when I accelerate from a stop with the windows down, I hear a PSSST. Can't figure out where in the heck it comes from. Somewhere beneath the hood is the best I can do.

check your MAF sensor and make sure it's properly seated in the throttle body.

Well it was the air temperature sensor that popped out of something. I asked what causes it and can they guarantee that it won't happen again. The dealer said that it just must not have been seated correctly (confused). They popped it back in and added a sealer to keep it seated. I hope they know what they are doing because I don't want to go back for this problem again.

The SRT utilizes a MAP sensor, not a MAF. It is located on the intercooler too, not by the throttle body.

my bad... don't mean to pass on bad info.

to the guy that was hearing the hiss on hard acceleration, yours is probably a little loose and that's why you only hear it on hard acceleration and your car not go in limp mode.

mine popped off going at 130 MPH causing my car to go on limp mode. not good when you have people (like x'ed) behind you hauling ****.

drove the car while in limp mode and can hear air hiss coming out of the hood on acceleration. after describing the situation, gearheads like HDDP and MMZ_TIMELORD quickly found the loose thing-y and placed it back on the thing-a-majig.
