Eh, you're still here huh? Find a stock Mid-Michigan SRT8 and we'll figure something out. Oh and mine is the roadster = heavier than the coupe.
Or find someone near Motown. NeedsWings has a SRT6 and goes to the track often (check with him if you prefer).

I know your a admin/mod here and I'm not trying to be a troll. I only post "still waiting..." when someone in this thread say something to the extent of "my car is faster than yours", ya know paper/internet racing.
There is someone in VA...haywood. Also bigsnake is in tennessee and stevesrt8 in south florida. Those guys are willing to run. I'm mentioning people who signed on the board and added there 2 cents to this thread. I will have to see for motown and mid-michigan.

Have patience . . . a race between the SRT6 and SRT8 will occur soon enough.

Now we have a srt8 in michigan. They must be a srt6 willing to run in the 5 locations mentioned.... (Virginia, tennessee, south florida, nyc/ nj, michigan). Win or lose, it's only for fun...

If you must know I'm in Illinois, and no, I have no intention of racing my Crossfire, Crewing on drag boats, drag bikes and drag cars for close to 30 years I know that all kinds of things can go wrong when racing and to be honest I don't have the money to put this thing back together if something goes way wrong.
Also the (on both sides) statement in my post was meant for both the SRT6 and the SRT8 guys. You may also notice when you reread my post that nowhere in there did I bash any SRT8 cars, I know what they are capable of. The cars were not in question the challenge was.
You also said this in your post to RPM;
"I only post "still waiting..." when someone in this thread say something to the extent of "my car is faster than yours", ya know paper/internet racing",
but nowhere in my post did I make any such claims yet you posted "still waiting" directly after the post in which you sidestepped my observation, that's strange. Oh well bench racing is bench racing and I guess it will never go away.

If you weren't willing to go through with the challenge, even if it's inconvenient, then maybe you shouldn't have made the challenge.

Edit: I retract my previous statement!!!
I reread your post and here we go...
"There's been a couple of takers on your offer but you don't seem to want to do it. Sure they're out of state but you're the one that threw down the challenge, but you aren't willing to travel to back it up."
That is clearly directed towards me and me not being willing to traveling. Not anyone else.
"My opinion is about the same as fflores".
Again, fflores is stating how his car will kill mine (internet racing at it's best).
Now that we got both sides out no need to hijack the thread any further...

I too would like to see a run off between the 2 cars, with equally skilled drivers it would be a good race. If 2 people get together for this race, please bring a video camera, not for bragging rights, but just so all of us can enjoy a good race on this board and the other one.

I get to Williamsburg every now and again. Let me know when you're ready. Loser has to go down a ride naked at Water Country!
Good lord. You SRT8 guys are pretty good at stirring up $%&@ - I'll give you that.
Here they are over at mbworld.org too:

Guys, if you find a SLK 32 AMG to race, you've essentially just raced a SRT6. You may have a better chance of finding one of those as there are more of them out there.

Well, I guess it wouldn't be all that unfair then. We could give it a go and see. One word of warning though... You might want to check out me picture in my gallery, NO ONE would want to see me ride down a slide naked... Keep it simple, whoever loses pays the track fees and diner...(guess, I better put that money aside now)...
I'm down for Richmond Dragway or VMP pretty much any Friday Evening. Which ever date works for you, just let me know...

Haywood, can you make it Virginia Motorsports Park on Friday the 14th? Let me know... I've got a track rental that day, and I can stick around for the evening Street Wars session.
