Default Similar Weight to HP Ratio

Just found this on...

http://www.conceptcarz.com/view/resu...ID=3677&hpLB=y

And though it was pretty cool. The SRT-6 has a wt/hp ratio of 9.45. Here's a list of other cars with close wt/hp ratios. It's a pretty good crowd we're running with.

2005 Mercedes-Benz SLK55

2004 Jaguar XJ Series
2003 BMW M3
2003 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT Mystichrome
2002 Maserati Coupe Cambiocorsa
2001 Jaguar S-Type Supersport
2001 Jaguar XKR-R

Something is screwy with that list. I'd never heard of the Isuzu Ascender so I looked it up - it's a 4,400 LB SUV with a 285 HP V6. I didn't bother doing the math, but I guarantee it ain't even close to an SRT6 let alone to a non S/C Crossfire.

Sorry Fellas, but I didn't even see the Ascender on the list. I was still ogling the other names like Porsche, Mercedes, Maserati, Bentley, Jaguar, and Ferrari. Pretty lofty company.

The Ascender was also available with a 5.3l V8, but even that wouldn't even come close to the SRT. BTW The Isuzu Ascender is a rebadged Chevy Trailblazer/GMC Envoy/Buick Rainier, there is also a Saab 9-7 version of this GM SUV.

Who ever came up with that list is mentally broken. The Ascender... Never mind, not even going to go there. I would have to guess that is a typo. Even if it was the short wheelbase 4x2 and you dropped the 6.0L 400 HP engine out of a Trailblazer SS, it still wouldn't be put so close...

Another example of how accurate this site isn't. Look and see if you see the wrong info.

Look at your own first post...the Isuzu is the first vehicle on your list...

Anything domestic was a bulldozer in the corners back then. Even Corvettes weren't all that great compared to most Euro coupes and sports cars. Remember the concept of throwing a high HP engine into a lightweight car? Well, back then "lightweight" was still around 3,500 lbs!!!
