If I attacked or offended anyone over their SB - I apologize - Maybe I can take you on a coastal flight down Malibu beach or something. Help you take your mind off it.

You guys crack me up!

All you want and don't want to know about sprint boosters, eight pages of threads and much to read.
Oh Yeah... I would love to take you up on the Malibu flight, the next time I am out that way maybe? I occasionally come to town on business.
As far as crackin you up - no problem, glad to be of service. Lol.

Those of us that have actual experience with the SB know better as to what it does and doesn't do. It just amazes me that you have turned down every opportunity that has been offered to 'experience' the SB at very little cost to you.

C'mon now, I didn't drive like grandma. Does Grandma smoke her tires up under a bridge on Woodward or do 100 mph sprints going to dinner at the Moose Preserve.

Is The Sprint Booster Only A Benefit For Srt-6 Crossfires Or Will It Help A Limited Regular 3.2?

It definitely benefits the limiteds, probably more so than the SRTs.

Hey everybody! I'm ordering a Sprint Booster, and I'm going to put an illustrated "How to" on my website. I'll keep everyone posted.

Ouch - .
I don't know if I drive like a grandma, but you are right, MI1 can drive.
The Crossfire will be officially hibernating tomorrow.

OUCH !!

You hurt my feelings.

But don't fret - I'm over it now.

You dont need heed or follow any modification postings I may make on this forum - they are mainly for the SRT-6. (and require wrenches and other tools).

BTW - I gave rides to three forum members at the GTG last weekend so they could experience my mods first hand. Glad they trusted me. (or perhaps they just didn't know).

Just for the record - I've greatly appreciated the write-ups and mods done by BrianBrave.

I just find it odd that you aren't even willing to try the sprint booster with no charge to you...

Thanks Shawn, your a stand up guy.

I enjoy my SRT - first real car I have owned in 30 years.

I appreciate your offer, I am not turning it down because I am against anything, I am just planning several mods and wish to base-line these mods against the stock SRT.

I have the rear springs out now (talk about easy - took me 15 min) and will remove the fronts tomorrow morning so I hope to have a write-up by Saturday night.

After vacation I plan on installing four gauges (and convert one) A boost gauge, Oil Temp, Oil Press and a wide-band A/F gauge. I want to see how msheredy does his before I decide on a middle dash pod like his plan or remove the center vents and install there. I think I have an idea for some micro-vents as a replacement. I have a great plan (or at least I think so) to convert the stock outside air temp gauge to a Intake air temp gauge. I think SRT owners would like that and it may be real simple. More on that later.

After that my next planned mods are best if done at the same time. ASP Pulley, SL55 AMG V8 Airbox, Iridium plugs, SuperSprint Headers and then an ECU tune.

My goal is to have it all done by Xmas (but might not) and pay for it with my bonus. That is if the Naval Aviators I do consulting work for tell my boss what a great job I am doing (actually they can be more brutal to me during a presentation then any comments I get on this forum). But hey - I earn my call sign.

These mods will be expensive - which is why I am trying to save as much as I can on the mods I am doing now.

I hope after all is done to have a good feel for the before and after, so a SB might be moot.

I won't even mention the interior or paint mods. But I gotta have something to do in 08.

Sounds like you've got it figured out! Want to know what my '08 mod list consists of?

Paying for my wife to go to Physician Assistant's school! So, in other words, I'll have to live with the sprint booster for a while...unless I want to sell one of the mustangs.

I'd like a boost and IAT gauge - and am especially interested in seeing if you can convert the outside air temp or not. I wonder if it has a peak of some sort? Doubt it...I've seen mine over 120 already.

I just installed the A2 today, and all I can say is "WOW." This car is a total beast now. Before when I would step on the gas I would hope the darn computer or whatever it is was feeling up to launching with some vigor. Now this thing gets up and goes everytime without fail. I know it adds no power, but it definitely unhandcuffs the power already available. This is by far the best mod I have done to any car I ever owned. A total must buy for anyone with a srt6.

Nice reviews guys. Your gonna force me to buy one. My car does seem laggy a lot when I punch it.
This link on ebay says the A2 is for SRT/AMG with automatics, and they have a couple cheesy vids linked.

Read back a bit and find some of my recent posts on sprint boosters.

Either model will work with the SRT - the 'A' is supposed to be more aggressive than the A2.

I have the A, and wouldn't mind trying the A2 just to compare.

Hey SRTpowa, this is a total must buy. I promise you won't be disappointed. This will make you fall in love with your car all over again. My raves can't do justice to how much this "upgrade" does for the performance of this car. Its almost ridiculous chrysler didn't just make it like this from the get go. I ordered it from sale@partsexporter.com. This guy ships really fast. I paid $280 for it. Honestly, this thing is worth every penny and then some. BUY IT! I'm pushing this thing like I own stock in it, lol.

I'm glad you are pleased with the "A2" model too. It is quite aggressive anyway, but round town and in traffic it is still very drivable and smooth. The way the power is out down on the road is awesome now isn't it ?

Do you feel stronger acceleration in 1st and a stronger change to 2nd gear too by it getting the power on earlier and stronger ?

Have you mastered the launch with minimal wheel spin? the first couple of time I tried it just lit up the rears !!!

I too think that the car should have been released like this in the 1st place(maybe this was another "ploy" to bias people to buy the SL32 too, like the understated BHP)...

It was like buying a new car all over again.

Enjoy.

I definitely noticed the better 1 and 2 power. It really gets the engine boiling faster. I am totally happy with the A2. I haven't mastered the launch either, but honestly I haven't been really trying either.

I find the best "launch" is achieved by putting it in 1st, holding the brake pedal with the left foot (to stop you "creeping") and as you hit the pedal, let go of the brake. This needs to be a small sharp application of the throttle (to limit wheel spin) and when that is controlled plant the throttle into the carpet quickly. In comparison to before, it feels like I never used to get full throttle" it is so different, but so much easier to wheel spin until you get the balance right. This is with Traction control "off" and the gearbox on the "S" setting.

I found this while looking for information on ETCs. It is a study of a '99 SLK230 with and without a Sprint Booster.
