New Member Interested in SRT-6
Hello all, I'm new to the forums... just registered yesterday. I am looking for a new or slightly used (very low miles) SRT-6 coupe. I have always liked the SRT Crossfires and can't believe how low the prices have come down on these cars. That is definitely a lot of car for the money! I have looked through the classifieds and ebay, but if anyone has a lead on a brand new (or very clean low mileaged used) one for sale please post here!
Thanks,
Kurt

There's a 2005 Crossfire coupe BLACK for $18,890 at Goldstein Auto in Latham NY. Beautiful car. It is not an SRT. Good price though. I am sure they would knock some off of it. I bought my 2005 roadster there. Good people to deal with.
Thanks for the links guys, I appreciate the help. If anyone has more feel free to post them up!
Also, I have never actually rode in an SRT-6 Crossfire. If anyone is in the St. Louis area and would like to give me a ride I'd appreciate it.

Good luck my man! You are going to love this car. Make sure you check the car out very closely and if there are any little defects like a scuff or scratch you can work with the dealer to write you up a work order to have the problem fixed. Make sure you get any promisses to fix something in writing. Get a car fax report too! Also check out edmunds.com and look at the buying guides and read "the confessions of a car salesman." Really good reads for anyone buying new or used. Another good tool is to use the internet sales department at the various dealers. Find yourself several different dealers that have the kind of car you want and send them an email requesting their best price on the car. Advise them in this email that you are soliciting prices from several other dealerships and that you will simply take the best price/package you find. After you get all of the responses look at what the lowest price is and then send an email to all of the dealerships again advising them of the best price you have received and then ask them to beat that deal. You can even ask for 1 year or life time free oil changes if the dealer is close to home. Always remember to nogotiate the buying price of the car you want separately from any trade in. Also, make sure that you don't fall into being a monthly payment shopper. Some less savory dealers will ask you if you will pay $490 a month for a car but not disclose what the length of the loan is. Also if you are financing the car look at getting your own financing through your bank or through capital one for instance who has a blank check program where they issue you a blank check and you write it out for what ever the car costs you.
Good luck and don't get caught up in wanting to drive the car home "today" If the deal is not right walk away.

I'm not going to let this deter me, I'm going to keep looking!

I called them before I went up there and negotiated a little to see if it would be worth my while since they still have it listed everywhere for $39,900, which is obviously a little high for the market. I told them I have seen a lot being sold in the low to mid 20s and they said no problem they are willing to deal to get rid of it. We discussed a little about the difference between my trade and the SRT-6 and they seemed to think we weren't too far off.
We get up there and I drive it (which was a blast!), and get back to the dealership. They check out my car ('04 SRT-4 with 50K) and comment on how well it was taken care of. We go back inside and start talking and I start asking about the deal we were discussing on the phone and they come back and say its not enough. I ask them what they were thinking and it was no where near what we discussed, and they weren't willing to come down hardly at all. I told them they wasted my time by lying to me on the phone just to get me to drive out there. The manager starts getting loud and I told him to do a little research and he'll see that they won't get anywhere near high 30s.
My warning to everyone is to stay away from West Brothers Dodge Chrysler Jeep! Or better yet everyone call in and offer them a ridiculously low amount for the car and maybe they will call me back and beg for me to take it off their hands.

Looks like a nice one, but yeah I'm looking for one that is new or very low miles.
Oh, I forgot to mention something else about my experience with West Bros stealership. They told me the car only had 22 miles on it, when I got there it had about 160. I asked if the increase in mileage was from test drives and they said no the owner's kid took the car for a week and drove it around. Also, one of the wheels had been curbed and after they cleaned the car up you could see quite a few marks/scratches on just about every body panel of the car. I was still willing to deal because I wanted the car. Oh well, I guess its for the best that it didn't work out with them. The search continues!

I'm sure they would come down lower than that, but we didn't get that far because of their attitudes. I knew I was wasting my time. Based on my experience with them I doubt they will come down to a price that resembles the current market.
What kind of experience did you have with them?

I think I have found one, just put a deposit down on it and will be trading in my Neon SRT-4! Its about 6 hours from me but if its everything they say it is I'm sure it will be worth it. Should be driving down next weekend, the 22nd, to pick it up. Wish me luck!

It's Graphite with only a few hundred miles and was listed at $24,900. They came down a couple thousand and are giving me a decent amount for my trade. Its in service date was the beginning of this year so it still has over 2 years and over 35K miles left on the warranty (I'll probably buy an extended warranty iin a year or two). I have seen pictures of the car and they say its immaculate. Not sure I'm going to sleep much over the next week!
I did the same thing. I traded my 2005 Commemorative Edition SRT-4 in for the SRT-6. I sould have waited though. I paid $21,000 plus tax for one with 14,000 miles. They did give me a REALLY good price for my Dodge though, so it all worked out and I love the car. You will too.
