Finally!
Alright guys and gals the day has finally arrived. I will be selling my truck for an SRT-6 and hopefully have it by the middle of febuary, if everything works out. Is there any last thing I should know before I buy one of these beauties? I have already test drove some and checked on prices and such, just checking all my options before I go buying one. Thanks to everyone and this wonderful site for the help threads and such, it makes everything alot easier.
Soon to be SRT-6 owner,

Congratulations. I just become an SRT6 owner yesterday and found this forum very helpful. Of course, owning a Limited Roadster for 3 years also helped know what to look for.
FYI - I think SilverFox https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ad.php?t=21030 (stock SRT with extended warranty) and Chi-Town https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ad.php?t=20672 (Nicely Moded & my Fav) have two great deals going. Since all SRT's have the same interior and only 4 exterior colors are offered (Aero Blue, Sapphire Silver, Graphite and Black) making a choice should be easy and paying for shipping is a no-brainer.
GO Get em'

Great to have another srt owner here.. there have been a lot of SRTs purchased lately!! Anything you should know about the car before purchase?
hm... be careful of the track expereince cars...

I talked with SilverFox. He said he had an offer already in the making, I was going to go look at his until he mentioned this. He is supposed to get back to me. I only live about 3 hours away from him, so it would be easy probably going to see the car and doing business with him. He seems like a nice guy. The only thing really is the high interest rate that is attached to a private seller. I dont know how much of a different 9% compared to 4% makes in the long run..

At 4% your payment (principle and interest) On a $20,000 loan would be $312.90 per mo with total interest paid at $2,529.06
At 9% your payment (principle and interest) on a $20,000 loan would be $360.51 per mo with total interest paid at $5,956.77
This of course assumes you make your payments on the exact due date - before or after will effect interest numbers either way. (always make your payments early if possible) or best yet - make two payments a month (if you get paid every two weeks) you will pay your loan off sooner!
Now go get that bad boy!!
Here are rates from Eloan.com
New Vehicle6.09%6.35%6.99%Used Vehicle (Dealer)6.55%6.95%7.59%Private Party Vehicle8.95%9.25%10.05%
It appears they are about 2.5% higher than buying from a dealer. Try different ones, but credit unions usually have better rates. Mine had a deal where they will beat your current deal by 1%, so I got the dealer to get me the best rate then refi with my credit union 30 days later for 60mos at 5.75%.
You have to also take into consideration that if you could find one that's at a dealer that has already had the trans oil leak fixed, headlamps replaced, fuel pump replaced, intercooler replaced, and a few other things the inventory reduction cars had wrong with them, you still would have to pay $3000 in sales taxes. So it's a wash. Choose the best one, and if you do keep it the life of the loan then you'll break even. If you don't then paying the taxes from a dealer will be a loss. The warranty is priceless either way and expensive if you don't get it with the car or Tod64k.

So has everyone had these problems, trans oil leak, etc... since they have had their SRT-6? This scares me a little since I see some people saying Chrysler hasn't honored their warranty. This will be my only car, and while I might could manage getting around to class and back, I don't want it to be an reoccurance every few months.
