Let me get this straight, these spacers go between the intake and the engine block right? And the whole idea is that they insulate the intake from direct heat conduction from the engine block, thus reducing the temp of your intake.
That sounds like a good idea, but won't this also have another affect: raising the temperature of your engine block? I'm no race mechanic, but that doesn't sound like a good idea to me. So I'm curious, can someone explain?

Most of the heat soak is being generated inside the IC that is trapped between the SC and engine block... So while you are installing the spacers, insulate the bottom and sides of the IC with ThermoTec insulation.
