the coolest thing about beating a carrera 4S AND a cayman S, was the fact that BOTH owners were really cool to me, and i ended up becoming friends with one of them!!! we work on our cars together quite often now. (he's hoping to beat me eventually.......)

 

Some of those kill stories on that G8 forum are outright BS. If anybody comes on this board claiming crazy kills like theirs, I'm flaming them, lol.

 

well, you have take it for what it is...like the mustang guy w/ his kids in the car...I would have backed off, not worth hurting innocents...now he thinks he made a kill....the only way to know is to outright race...I do mine on the track...or with some buddies at an old airport...if it is on the street, it is just for a few seconds, 0-60 stuff...no more...but usually that is enough for them to get the picture...this little roadster has a rep around here already, so I don't get challenged much, then again, it could be that they know who I am...but once in awhile...you just can't resist a little punch at the light...

 

My next door neighbor has a 2009 G8, pretty cool car, kinda looks like a BMW 5 series. Pretty cool if you need to carry a couple of kids and a dog, but drag car no. He took me for a ride in it the day he got it and its not even close to a stock SRT6, much less a modded one and it seems 75% of all 6's on the road have at least one mod. So unless it was an old fart that could'nt drive I aint buying it. I think they are rated at 13.5 1/4 in the 1/4?

 

I'm with you MD...my buddy sells them just up the road, he always brings crap home..I get to ride or drive just about anything they have...I bought my '03 Z0-6 from him....anyway, my son that just grad college was wanting one, so he brought one home and we all went out and run the crap out of it...nice car, but 4 doors??? My son likes his mother Mazda 6....better car for him anyway...you have to move into the exotics to get our kind of quickness...and that means going over the 100K.....I have a few of those friend as well...but they don't like to share their rides....

 

Didn't 3 guys from Fl go to the drags a while back and spun the tires real bad. No one was in the 12's and they had like major mods. Maybe it was them.

 

I ran those kind of times in the 1/8 when I had a major boost leak. I still can't see running that slow unless their tires were totaly balled.
