ill pick up a bottle from our distributor tomorrow and see how it does, well ill add in a coolant temp gauge to the system first and get some before numbers first but this may be a very nice cheap mod for us

I put 2 bottles of Redline Water Wetter in mine and it made a difference according to the guage. It used to sit slightly above the 1/2 mark, not it sits below it. I'd guess about a 10 degree drop...

Where did you pick this stuff up?
Is this similar to water-wetter?
TIA.

Funny, I put the same thing in mine during the summer. I didn't see much of a difference......The only time it made a difference, was when i was crusing. It did seem like it took longer to reach the half way mark when I first started driving. Other than that, if I was sitting in traffic, the guage would still read above the half way mark. Then it would pretty much stay there unless i was crusing.....

Well yeah. Mine does the same thinng. With no air flow it's still going to get hot. It does help eliminate heat soak when you are moving. I plan on doing a fan mod or add a couple of small fans to take better advantage of it.

Has anybody considered swapping the stock thermostat for a cooler one? I did that on my Charger and it is consistantly 20-30* cooler than stock.

I've tried water wetter and see no difference, as for IC coolant the best liquid is water with no antifreeze. De-ionized of course.

TVT says that theirs drops the temps from 220* to 180*-185*. I was thinking about getting one. Does anyone have this on their SRT?

I've read about the thermostat mod on the MBZ forum, it's a DIY project, I think the stock thermostat might be restrictive and some guys ported the OEM one for higher coolant flow. not sure how to change the opening temp.

Their ad says "We've left the stock opening temperature as to not interfere with the fan or heat." It looks like it's just a swap out and top off the coolant.

Like waterwetter...you need to swap out your entire volume of coolanat to make any real difference. One bottle doesn't make any noticable change in temp biggest change is in your wallet. Topped off with two bottles...net change was 17 dollars
