Default SRT Performance List

I've been working on a list of current mods for the SRT-6 and this is what I've assembled to date. If anyone has items and a link to that item I'll add it to the list. Just click on the link below.

I've also made a small write-up about each catagory that should help all the newer members as well as a few regulars. Some of the catagories also have a bit of my opinion in them, but I also tried to keep my opinion somewhat netural too. This list is only the start of what I feel is going to be available for our Crossfire's in the very near future.

I hope this helps everyone in some way or another.

Nice Job Toy!!

I just joined SrtConnections Forum. It will be fun to read up on the "other" SRT's out there as the SRT-6 is pretty much an exclusive car club now.

- headers do not exist, that must be a misprint since the picture they show would nto fit a srt6

you can add suspension to the list also, eibach springs and koni's

Rob, Take another look.
Is that alright? Any other items, let me know.

Rob, The intake spacers won't do anything but try to keep the temps down a bit.

yes i understand that, im askign if that now with cooler intake manifolds do you notice any difference with the car, ie.. can u touch the mani's after a hard run without burning your hand?

yes, you can feel a difference with the heat transfer because of the spacers...if you touch the supercharger for a split second it almost burns you, with the spacers you can keep your hand there noticeably longer...

and we do have SRT specific headers, they should be released shortly...

did you mean to say intake manifolds? if not how does raising up the intake manifolds cool down the supercharger which is upstream? maybe im getting this all wrong, i thought the spacers go on the underside of the intake manifolds before the intake runners? let me walk outside and look, be right back....

then i appologise, i read a thread a while back where someone said they called you about them and was told it was a misprint

these are down stream of the supercharger...here is the order for you...

intake->throttle body->supercharger->intercooler->y-splitter->intake air plenums(these are what the spacers go under, as these sit on top of the runners that are attached to the supercharger which obviously get very hot and then heat up the air intake plenums)->our spacers->runners attached to the supercharger going into the head...

does it make sense now?

ok, just went and looked, how thick are the spacers? 1/4"-3/8"? when the manifolds are lifted up further then oem does the factory air distribution pipe line up still?

they are an 1/8" thick, any thicker than that and you will have issues with everthing lining up correctly...

yes, i fully understand the path of the airflow, but the intake manifolds are not connected to anything heat conductive other then the intake runners which are molded into the s/c body, if you said you could touch the intake manifolds longer after the spacer i would agree, but for the supercharger to be cooler (which is still connected to the intake runners which are connected to the heads) doesnt make sense. are you saying the intake manifolds withotu the spacers are absorbing heat and then transfering it back thru the intake runners to the supercharger enough to make an effect (over what the head is transfering)?

please dont get me wrong, i see the theory of keeping cooler intake manifolds so the air traveling thru them does not get heated up as much. but for the cooling effects to be transferred backwards 3 steps im not seeing. have you ever installed a spacer setup on just one side and then took the car to get them warmed up and shot each intake manifold with a laser thermometer to see the difference?

yes, with a laser thermometer there is about a 80-100 degree difference, before/after...

also, as a side note, we are also doing the spacers that go under the supercharger runners, that way we can isolate the whole system...they will be ready by the end of the week.

Buy a pair and try them out Rob. - the spacers are inexpensive enough.

The spacers won't totally eliminate heat soak, but they will prolong it.

The AMG V8 folks on the MB forum posted some great info on the EVOsport spacers.
