Guys, the Texas Mile is coming up and I'm planning on running. Does anyone want to join me? It's on a airport runway.

I'm hoping for 160mph class and I have a bunch a freinds coming. We get the first 12 pit stops and it's a great time to see some seriously cool cars.
It's as safe as you can get to run wide open for 1 mile.
I have run 173.9 in a Z06 and 153.5 in my WRX.

Man, that would be awesome! I probably won't make the trip this time, but I'd love to go. I'll be in Bay Town for the NHRA Nationals in a couple of weeks. My brother (lives in Houston) and I will be there for the full 3 days. RV baby!

i've been wanting to do the silver state classic myself for a couple of years now. maybe i can convince some peeps to go with me this year.

 

The cars that come to the mile and the people are what this event is all about. It's really allot of fun just to be there.

I hope to return with the fastest proven SRT6 in the country.

 

Good luck to you. I for one wouldnt mind seeing you have the official fastest SRT6. It only breeds good competition.

What mods will you have for this run?

 

With LET Motorsports help I will have a Pulley, Headers, AM55 Intake, LET Heat Exchanger and Johnson pump all with a tune. Right now it's all about the pulley. I'm all about competition and in my opinion it must be legal, I'm no longer a guy that runs on the streets. To many parameters that I cannot control and at these speeds, I want control safety and then proof.

 

I hear ya... ever thought of doing the silver state classic?

Capture some vids if you can. Will probably be enough to motivate my lazy a$$ and sign up for silver state.

 

I have thought about some of the open road races and plan on doing one in the next few years. I just need to have the right car and co-driver.

Why wait, there will be another in October. We should have 5 cars coming from Dallas to keep you safe on the way down. This time we had 9 people from Dallas with only 1 racing, the rest just come down to enjoy the fun.
