Default Resonator is history

Actually its in the garage. I took the Aero to the exhaust shop this morning and had them remove the resonator and install the Burns SS parts. For some reason it looks almost identical to BrianBraves exhaust now. Boy do I like the sound now! SL55 intake is next up. It is sitting in the garage now.

Yes I did. The only problem is I REALLY like the sound and it makes me want to put my foot in it so I can here it run up.
I went over to the other side of town this afternoon and crusing in the fast lane and saw a VW(Jetta I think) and S4 Audi roaring up behind me. They switched to the center lane to pass me and I hit the magic button under the gas peddle and shut the door on them. They fell in behind me and then whe traffic opened I moved over to center and let them in behind and then moved over one more and they hit the gas, me too. They neve got close. I thought the S4 would do better and when I slowed to take my exit I saw him slow slightly when he came up on me to get a look.

Here are a couple of pics of the Burns SS parts going in and done. The blob on the exhaust at the back end weld is the end of the hanger. They just put a straight piece on and it was just about 1/4" long. Other than that, I am pretty happy with it. I am VERY surprised how CLEAN the undercarriage is. It has been a couple of weeks since I washed it and it has been in the rain since then. I am in Oregon you know.

I paid $94.51 for the U bend and $189 for the Merge collector. That 2 into 1 merge is a beautiful piece of work.

I had taken the other tact and removed the muffler leaving the resonator, the muffler is more restrictive and the result is about the same sound wise with the twin pipes I used. Heres a shot of the result and the first experiment that I did with emptying the stock muffler, but that did not achieve the desired effect for me. Hope the inside look is of interest to the group, happy bunny day.
