Question What are your 60' times???

Well Iam trying to evaluate the car with the Needswings intake and the porting / polishing that I did recently. The best way I can do that is with the 60' times before the track opens, and it warms up. With the limitation of 60 mph or so, my Passport G meter and I have been getting 1.95 to about 2.05 times and wondered how that compares on Factory street tires to other SRT's. Its still very cool weather and it is hard to not spin which looses time.

I have the Phantom grip and factory tires but must start at about 1200 - 1400 rpm and roll out to keep from slipping (blowing off the tires, cause once they slip they are flat gone till you get all the way out of it). The traction control is off, as that has a habit of killing the throttle and introducing a BIG bog like effect. When I get the LET 181 pulley and install the heat exchanger I will try it again to see if there is a measurable difference.

Trouble here is that we only have 1/8th mile tracks and they are not open for test and tune events yet. Figgured that I could get some other peoples numbers for comparison in the mean time, thanks

I have been to the track twice making a total of seven passes. My best 60ft was 2.185, stock from top to bottom.

Are most of you guys running your cars on "test and tune" nights? If so, most tracks do not properly prep the track. You have to go on a night when they are running competitions like a weekend points bracket race or a gamblers race. To give you an example, I raced my car(which was stock at the time) on a TnT night and I left the line at a conservative 1500 rpms. I blew the tires away all through first into second for a stellar 2.33 60ft time! I recently added the needswings intake and raced it on a points day(bracket race) and was leaving at 2200-2500 and pulling 1.82-1.84 60ft times with no spin on street tires! BIG difference!

This is great, thank you for the responses and interest.
I will be trying to line up for a dyno run for this Saturday.

The car felt stronger and I did not want to self medicate myself into believing that it was due to my shade tree porting and polish event that I posted awhile ago. I just felt like there was better bottom end response and that was before I did the CAI upgrade.

That addition (CAI) was even better, though I wanna add a vacuum gauge to the intake to see how much restriction the air filter has, I feel it a bit small though the location is ideal for temperature. I have several K & N filters and have no reason to dislike them but feel they are porous and offer less filtration. To be effective it would seem that the filter should not be smallish which would reduce the arrestance of the incoming dirt particles.

With DR's, 178mm pulley, and needwings intake always average low 1.8's 60' foot times. I never got as low as distantpulse without my DR's. Stock conti's usually were around 1.88 to 1.90. , have yet to be in the 1.7's. Low 1.8's is nearing 12.4-12.6 territory. Forget the dyno, find a track. Use an elevation DA calculator to compare runs with your track.

Im so jealous of those 60fts, if i could hit low 1.8's id be screaming down the 1/4.

What size DR's did you go with? Are they on the stock 19"'s or some cheapies?

There's a pic posted here somewhere. Sorry don't remember which thread. It's a factory SLK Mercedes wheel 15mm spacers with Hoosier's 255/50-16. The height is same as stock, so mph is accurate. But still just for track. The hoosiers are by far the best out there along with the Mickey Thompsons. The rest are for FWD. Some might take offense, but for the strip you know what I'm talking about. These are not for everyday driving like the other DR's.
