question about weight
i thought convertable vehicles weigh a few hundred pounds more than the coupe body, so how come on the crossfire srt both convertable and coupe weigh at 3,870 lbs the same when i check on the door panel...can someone explain?
- and also i have $200 dollars to drop on my coupe srt-6, any suggestions on what to get whether it be performance or look wise?

crossfire = the most expensive looking head turning best performing car for the price of a honda accord with navigation.

they do not weigh 3,870 lbs, that is prob the max load you can have on the car chassis...
As for the curb weight of a 2005 crossfire:
the convertible is 3,140 lbs
the coupe is 3,060 lbs
remember SRT's have a SC and bigger brakes so they are slightly heavier
as for those $200, save up and get your own crossfire some day
or get yourself a camera and post some pictures of the one you say you have

but i do have my own crossfire and i am the only driver of that vehicle and 65% of the payments are done with the money that im currently making as just a teenager im sorry im not capable of obtaining 30 grand to buy my own car at a young age but atleast my parents were nice enough to help me with purchasing this piece of beauty..
With that you have all my respect. The first post where you actually made sense and completed a sentence. Good for you, hope you take good care of it and trust me, it doesn't hurt to pay more attention when posting. The more accurate your spelling is and the more courteous you are to others the more replies you're going to get.

The way I was told it works:
GVWR = 3,671 2005 Roadster
- 415 (Max Capacity-2 people)
- 111.3 (15.9 Gal gas @ 7 lb/gal)
3,144.7 (Curb Weight empty)
Or am I wrong?

That 38xx number is the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. That is the Maximum weight the car is rated for with a 2 People, a Full tank and Cargo Load. The passenger load is only rated at 450 lbs. So 2 people of relative size, technically overload it.
I weighed my coupe with me in it and a full tank on the scales at MIR and it rang in at 3450, which is about right. I weigh 260, so that explains alot.

My coupe weighed in at 3200 at the track, with a few items from work thrown in. I figured the roadster would be quite a bit heavier.

$200 is not gonna get you much in terms of performance...but you do have several options.
- get a full wax and detail.
- take a hot girl on a date.
- save up a few hundo more and get the needswings intake.
