I posted my actual run which was 12.49@82. lol. So have i ACTUALLY run a 12.22@112? No, but by my calculations, that is what the car would have run. Yeah, you can flame me, but it is reality. Haha

1/4 mile runs aside has anyone done any serious road racing with these cars. It would be interesting to see what our cars can do running Road Atlanta, Sebring etc.

The 1/4 mile numbers represented here are very respectable and kudos for all that are paving the way.

Yes it is.

I am not for engine swaps (fast and furious honda crowd, lol) or nitrous myself but it is no different than any other mod aka power adder.

Have you even run a 12.5 yet thats verifiable?

I have no problem with people using NOS at the track. Its not like you dont have a fast car without it. I just dont want to risk anything else by using myself.

And I see what you are trying to say about your 12.49 being a 12.2 your mph was very low and had you been able to keep your foot into it your time would have been faster. Just go back to the track and do it for real, who knows you may be faster then you think.

I've alway's had mixed thoughts about nitrous. I won't lie the thought of adding a system to my car has crossed my mind, I could have bought two systems for what I paid for my RENNtech kit. But that's where my mixed thoughts come in, NOS is for "UNCLE BEN'S" cars (RICER). I can't help it that's just the way I feel, I've alway's felt it was on the boader line of cheating.

MD SRT6, I hope my comments on NOS does not rub you the wrong way. The last thing I want to do is discredit you or pi$$ you off, I do applaud you for stateing with & with out NOS in your signature.

You can say what you will about it......What exactly is pathetic about it though? I posted my ACTUAL time of 12.494@82 on dragtimes. No posing. FYI, I was bracket racing and lifted at the 1000ft mark since I was WAY ahead. I know how to do the math to figure out the split times and what the 1/4 mile time would have been. My 7.811@87.98 in the 1/8 mile can back up that i was in fact on at least a 12.22 pass? No? Would you rather see in my sig a 12.494@82? Thats gay.

I guess I didn't get post #47 out quick enough, it seems that I have rubbed you the wrong way.
To ansewer your question though, no sir I have not. My car has not even been to a track, I have very limited spare time and live in the middle of nowhere. I have tried this year two times, but both events were cancelled because of weather. The only thing I have to gauge what my car will do is a new model RR-G-tech meter.

Ok, I am getting old. I remember you were posting as you ran and I was at work. Yes, your car is faster then 12.49. I am still working with Inmotion to get my new tune for my E85. I want a 12.2 without any pulley

Steve, you have not rubbed me the wrong way, I have followed a lot of your posts and think you are probably a pretty good guy! BUT it is a little aggravating when a bunch of you guys who really don't know much about modern drag racing and just know what you read on forums and gtech meters judge someone who has clearly ran the fastest time in a srt-6 with or without nos. And if you go to the dragstrip its mostly the american muscle cars with nos, and very few if any imports! And by the way, good luck with your car and I hope you get to go to the track soon!

The only times that are REAL are the ones that the TIMESLIPS show. Not some hypothetical sh**. By the way dragtimes.com does not show your timeslip, did you post one? All others have one!

Posting a time without a timeslip on dragtimes or even actually running that time is pretty bad. While your calculations might be spot on, you didn't actually run it. Posting anywhere that you did is really "gay". Go to the track and lay down that 12.2 for real or don't post it anywhere. Just my .02.

Not really, a pulley will work for you all the time..............nitrous is refillable power. I have never liked nitrous for that reason.

I'm glad I have not pi$$ed you off and if you have read a lot of my post you should know that I have stated my speeds & times were with a G-tech meter and that although they are suppose to be pretty accurate I have not posted the results in my sig. I have ran a few runs in the high 11's on my G-tech, but I have never posted that I did, mainly besause I could not do two runs in a row. So I just figured the meter was wrong and I know it's not hard proof. I am a very honest person and I will never make a post on the fourm without proof to back it up, I have made post with out proof, but did say I didn't have the proof to back it up when doing so. I got a big suprize about a month or so ago, I opened a thread that was quite long that I had not ever opened. On the 3rd or 4th page they were talking about who had had their SRT 6 the fastest, my name was brought up that I had the highest top end speed. A few members had basiclly called me a lier and there were somewhere around 3 or 4 other members jump in and defended me. Saying I was a straight up guy and they believed me without any proof at all, that gave me a warm fuzzy .

I understand what you are saying and to some extent i agree, but to say its "hypothetical sh**" is not at all true. It's science and math and it's a proven method. The car would have run that number. Case closed. I have analyzed thousands and thousands of timeslips througout my 12 years racing so I have a pretty good handle on it......I did post the timeslip, but for some reason it didn't show up. Ill have to look into that. I did however post the timeslip up under my "At the track" thread so you can see it here https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...t=22670&page=4. Again, i didnt have a scanner so i had to take a pic with my phone so its not great. Listen, im not knocking you. I think it's great to see what you are running with your car. It's good to see someone taking it a couple steps further and showing what the car is capable of.

If you don't count times with nitrous then you can't count times with drags, think about it. Who drives around the streets with drags all the time? They are both used to make better times at the track. While my personal goal is to run 11's without NOS, I do plan on adding it in the future (although a modest 35-50 shot just for fun).
