my friend loves the look of my srt6 roadster so much that shes considering a new toy. question shes not a real motorhead but more into the style of her ride so which car is a better choice,a brand new '08 limited in classic yellow, which by the way we both love for 30k, OR a rare 2005 srt6 with 9k miles in pristine shape for 23.5k. my opinion is the srt6 down the road will retain more of her investment despite the fact she would have to drop an xtra $1,500 or so to put a chrysler extended warranty on it. shes got her heart set on yellow and leaning towards the limited. while i would rather see her in the srt6 the limited in its last model year is in itself a rare ride, SO HELP HER OUT, lets hear what you all think.

 

I'd say have her go with the 08 as long as it comes with the lifetime warranty, if not she should go with the srt6.

 

probably the 08. if she was a speed freak than the six would be a better fit. you said she's not so the 08 is the logical choice.

 

i'm thrifty, i would buy the used srt and stuff the extra $ into an interest bearing account!!!

 

I can not believe this question is even being asked lol SRT SRT SRT SRT SRT half the members on here including myself have traded in their LTD for and SRT, take the extra cash dump it into the SRT get license plates that say Z06KILER and come back and tell us how much you love it. IF investment is what you are looking for IMO the 04 ltd will be no different then the 08 ltd the SRT, do I dar say this lol IS the cudda of 2005 no one really knows about it, they have been giving them away pretty much, I paid the same out for my limted 3 years ago as I did for my SRT last summer, it is a no brainer they both have the same styling cues, DO not let her blow her money on something that is going to be worth $20,000 as soon as she leaves the lot regardless of year or miles, hell some of the LTDs are going for 14K now its a damn shame.

 

Honestly pick her up a used 04-05 for $15k or less. I think they come in yellow.

 

Some people get lured in by brand new cars. Don't let her fall into that trap! If she wants a ltd, get a used one or a left over for a fraction of the price. Put the rest of the money in a mutual fund or buy some gold. There is nothing new about the '08s. First of all, they are based off a 10 year old Mercedes platform that hasn't been changed, and second, the '08s are probably left over 2006s. Now, I may be biased, but the SRT6 is the real LIMITED vehicle here. There were only 2016 ever produced, it was a one-year (not counting the left over '05s badged as '06s) car, it is much more exclusive and exotic, and it has the performance to back up it's looks.

 

Go with the srt, more fun for the money and less price. Have to agree and go with any used xf over the 08. The o8 is more money for no more car.

I don't think I would ever get those plates on my SRT...From a roll there is not much of ANYTHING that can beat the new C6 Z06...

 

get her a used SRT6 roadster and paint it yellow.
