Default SRT-6 Rim's Reworked

last night got ran outta the road up on a curb,
chewed front and rear rim lip up pretty bad,..
pic's to be posted later, before and after,
so i went to the MB dealer
today to get a oil filter and ask them about a (rim repair job)
no wait that sounds tacky,
ask if they had someone that could repair rims and they
said that guy right their he is here on wed,

anyway a long story short this guy fixed both rims(( within 30 min ))
charged me $100.00 on the spot..

pleased to say a fine job, about like the dent pro guy

Amazing Rim Job .. hehe

I need to get my right side lips repaired too. When I first got the car I tried driving it through a car wash that had guide rails for the tires and I managed to scuff the right front and rear rims. I was so upset because up until then the rims were flawless. Needless to say, I am very picky now of the car washes I use. Strictly brushless with no guide rails.

Yep, me too.....Both back rims are F'ed up. One was trying to parallel park and the other was coming out of a parking garage.

hmmm,

it turned out that good huh?

I've contacted 2 places near me and neither wanted to do it because of the machinced lip. They said you would be able to see where they had been. Something about the "grain" not matching up or something.

Let's see pictures. Maybe mine are worse off than yours...

i will post pics when i get home, prolly tomorrow ...
either pay 1200 for 2 new rims .. leave it looking like chit or get a rim job.

Thumbs up Re: SRT-6 Rim's Reworked

If that was repaired, I'm impressed. I didn't realize you could repair a wheel with such damage.

I look forward to seeing the work.

That is nice work!

For anyone wanting to try to fix a rashy rim themselves there's a good DIY article on how to repair rims over at AudiWorld that I stumbled across last year.

When the wife's Touareg had some damage on the wheels (19" OEM), this company http://www.wheelinnovations.com/ refinished the whole wheel for around $200 IIRC - they strip all the paint, repair any damage, then repaint using factory match. After rotating I can't tell the difference between the refinished wheels and the original wheels after over a year.
