Default datalog screen shots

in case you guys have never seen this type of thing, here is what we use to record the...
air/fuel ratio
rpm
boost
throttle position
ect...

this was a 1st to the middle of 4th gear pull, the gas pedal was planted the entire way, notice how the t/c pulls back the signal to the throttle body when the tires break loose (the car did not go into the "fall on its face" mod either, it was un-noticable while driving).

also notice the boost curves thru the gears. it was fairly warm out today hence the lower psi we were seeing (we peaked around mid 16psi today instead of the mid 17psi we see when its cool out).

we have a little more fine tuning to this calibration to do and then it should be ready for you guys to get a reflash from inmotion with it.

i can email out the real file so you can move the vertical line and watch all the values all the way thru if anyone is interested

What software are you using for the data logging runs?

Im pretty new to data logging myself.

When i read my values i compare the data numerically down a timeline from the time the car is started till the ignition is cut off. The line graph screens confuse me more than simply comparing the values under similar conditions in different runs.

Am i making it harder than it needs to be?

Thanks for the interesting post.

By the way, I do not believe the throttle is being modified due to lack of traction.

What is happening is that the throttle is being closed slightly during gear changes.

I see what you are talking about. I wonder how many cars's ecus' out there perform in the same manner?

That I have no idea.

But I do remember Tiff Needell discussing how letting off the throttle creates smoother gearshifts on the M5 SMG when you temporarily let off the throttle.
