My IC coolant measured about 105 - 109 degrees once I installed the Johnson pump and LET HE and separated the IC system from the engine coolant.

It's good to see that your results working so well!!

Hey Woody, are the core's you used transmission core's? I had talked with a custom radiatior shop about using a core about like you did and they told me that the way the fins & piping were constructed that it would not cool the coolant as well as a regular constructed radiator. So I backed off the idea of adding one in series with my OEM heat exchanger and decided to move the OEM one forward & add fans to it. I didn't want to go with a thicker heat exchanger like LET or Code3 sells because they really don't add much surface area. The posts that Brain made to Stewart Components even stated that air would not flow as well through a thicker core. As for the moment I'm all out of MOD $$, all extra $$ is going toward adding on to my garage. But I'm still wanting to get more volume with more surface area for better cooling, so I'm keeping an eye on what other members are doing.

The cores were Summit racing engine oil coolers so that they would do the flow. 1.5 x 7 x 20 inches with a total face area of 280 inches.

Being that they cover the front of the radiator with .25" clearence, they get all the air and are going to cool. Less water flow and I got better heat rejection anyway, 170 degrees to 130s, thats powerful.

Ill do more to the coolant tank to allow less venting of the radiator, it recirculates to allow venting of the gases / air and has ne need to flow like it is now.

I would like to split the tank cause it ALREADY HAS TWO SEPARATE OUTLET PIPES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONWARD.

Enjoy the weekend, Woody

Here's an article from this month's PHR mag. Look at the nice little resevoir. That pump looks familiar.
