Line Lock
I think that line lock couldn't hurt depending on how much you do in fact race. If racing is not something you do on a regular basis then I would have to say the time/money you or someone you hire would put into it wouldn't make it worth installing. I do however feel that it is a pretty little ingenius invention. It seems simple enough to install, but how good is the reliability...I'd say go for it, assuming you could put the button in your console and keep it lookin somewhat stock/normal. Go for it. and I'd definately like to know how it helped/hurt you 1/4 mile times. I realize there is no added HP from this, but theoretically it should help you improve your reaction time...woohoo!!!
Other than that it would be ok. Possibly they have dual circuits for todays car, I have not seen them yet.
Woody, Enjoy the day..............
I'm no expert but, a line lock is used to lock the front brakes so you can warm your rear tires (burnout without wearing out your rear brakes) and keep the car from moving forward at the line while reving the engine for the launch. Its from what I've seen push button activation.

yeah but my question is does it use the front brakes or does it do something else? idk what it would do instead but doesnt that put alot of strain on your front brakes over time
a line lock does use the front brakes. it works like this you push your brake pedal down hard and hold it, push the button for the line lock, release your brake and your front brakes stay at the same presure as when the pedle was depressed but the back wheels are free to roll. when you let go of the button the front brakes release.
not sure if our cars have a dual diagonal braking system or not if they do then you have to use 2 line locks.
the only reason to have one imo is to stage your car at the drag strip of corse it makes doing smoke shows easyer.
Hope this helps
