Talking Re: Noticeable 'shake' At Idle Or Stop

My car has been run hard and put up wet more than once. I have torn apart more than a few subassemblies and with all of that, I have no shake. That sounds like a miss and pulling a code is a good first start.

If you wanna look at a oil catch device that I assisted development on see the thread by Rob on his Needswings catch can. He is at long last about to have a batch to offer on his site. I have been using one since the project began and the amount of residue is really suprising.

I went back there and had to show them that the grommet on the front end needed replacing.. If they can't figure it out with a computer they are worthless..

Thanks for the tip.. yea it seems to be a haul.. but, I'll drive up there for the checkup... is jeff a mechanic or is he the service advisor?? thanks so much for the advice..I'll see you on the road... hehe

He is a service advisor but i asked to talk with the mechanic working on my car and he said it was fine so he went out back and got the guy. The mechanic was real nice and also seemed to know about our cars. I hope it just wasn't a show he was putting on and he was being truthful. And for seeing me on the road you can't miss me i have a giant Red Sox sticker on the back of my car.

I just bought the car a few weeks ago... and I noticed there are alot of cobb webs under the hood..so the car might have been sitting for a while.. so hopefully its a plug..but, I will let you guys know.. thanks for the advice..

Yeah mine does that too. Does anyone have a clue what this might be?

Yeah i too have experianced this, I had 2000ks on the clock when it first happened. Abit of a tremble at idle. The next day it was fine and has been ever since. I had low fuel at the time im not sure if this has anything to do with it but after i filled up the car seemed to be fine

My gues is dirty plugs. i wouldn't worry about it too much if it bothers you find some plugs that idle better if it doesn't dont worry. also when this thing gets really warm that can cause a rough idle.

I wonder if this could be related to an Idle Control Valve.

My brothers van would shudder at a stop and he cleaned out the ICV and presto...

I perform this cleaning as preventative maintenance on my Audi and never had a problem. Just take it out and spray with carb cleaner. Not sure how our cars differ here though.
