Default Noticeable 'shake' At Idle Or Stop

Is This Common In Srt-6's? Doesn't Seem To Be Hesitation, But There's A 'short Vibration' Or Shake At Idle.... Anyone?

God I Love This Forum....

Mine is smooth as a mechanical watch at idle. There's so many things it could be, but try this - fill the tank with a different (and name brand) 93/94 Octane gas and then do an ECU re-set. Just disconnect the battery for 10 minutes.

Mine has a slight vibration while idling. I like it, reminds me I'm driving something with a personality!

mine too, I thought it might be missfireing? I noticed my passenger side valve cover is leaking some oil today. They already replaced the driver side. Time to take it in again I'll see if they can diagnose the rough idle as well.

Sounds like a misfire. You can localize it if you wish by pulling the 2 plug wires on each cyclinder in turn. If it begins to shake more, thats not the bad one. When you get it, there will be a minimal difference in the shaking.

You have to do the plug check with the engine off then start it, pulling plugs on a running engine will light you up for sure.

I've got 65xx on mine and it's rock steady at idle. I use Sunoco 93 octane most of the time. I can't get over how well this car performs.

No shaking here! 9,000 miles on her. I also use 93 octane. Maybe a tune up and better gas, will help you out.

31,000 miles Shell 93 Octane only and it has done it since day one of ownership. I figure it's nothing to worry about.

I get great mileage,
It runs great,
No problems,

I just figured it was a characteristic of the car.

I use 93 Chevron. I will mention ive had my coilpacks, spark plugs and wires on and off more than you can imagine. Dont know if thats the culprit.

that's funny. i thought i was the only one who felt that way.

mine's rock solid at idle. however, it growls at the slightest acceleration. which often turns driver heads along side me.

How bad the problem is really depends on your definition of vibration. Mine will give a slight quiver every so often at idle and it has done this since day one.

Mine has a slight quiver at start up, in idle, then goes away.

How about touching the gear shift shaft?? Mine is very hot, temperature,
after driving 10-15 minutes.

Mine kind of had that cammed up shake in it till 800 mile's. Then I installed the RENNtech kit and it went away . But every once in a while it will give a little shake, probably from not being driven.

11,800 miles and vary smooth at idle.

No issues when it was stock, no issues after installing mods, the tune or when using 91 or 100 octane fuel.
