Mine had this too - got better with NGK Iridium plugs and cleaning the IC. After cleaning the IC install an oil catch. - Suprising how much oil passes in.

mine stilll does it, but I really haven't tried to fix it. I noticed at night my lights dim as well because of the rough idle. I have some new plugs and sunocco 104 to put in. Maybe they will help, plus I should prbally get a catch can as well.

The E55's had bad alternators I wonder if that could be a tell tale sign for us.

could also be your relay control module contacts giving way. The traces could be shot and either a good positive or negative is loosing connection.

Bought srt6 at 24K miles. It always had a small shake at idle, and it was definately from backfire, not from cams. It wasn't consistent at all, but could be expected to happen every few seconds. Definately like a pop, a misfire, enough to shake your butt but not the car.

It was an original worry for me, but after replacing spark plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, and even more, it never went away. Car always ran fine.

I may even suspect a clogged cat as some of the amg-32 mercedes benz, a few ppl on here if you search, had clogged cats replaced. I never took it that far.

The funny thing is I left my car in park and the shake seemed to go away.. but, once the transmission was in gear you can feel it..

Maybe the computer is set to low at idle. For those with the miss in gear at idle, put your foot on the brake and bring the rpms up about 200 and see if the miss stops.

I get it when the car is warmed up a bit. It's typically because the RPMs are too low at idle. The needle is right on the 500rpm line or whatever the lowest line is on the tach.

The car shakes cause the engine wants to stall but it's getting enough fuel to run but also to shake mildly

I live in Boca Raton and the deealer I bring my to is great. There is a guy jeff there who seems to know something about our cars unlike most other dealers. The dealer is at 2102 S Federal Hwy Delray Beach, FL 33483-3316. Not sure how far you want to drive to get you car fixed. I also brought it to Maroone a while ago and it took them two days to tell me that i needed new passanger and drive window seals. I already knew that. So then they told me they were going to order the parts and call me when they got in. About two weeks later i called them becasue i never got a phone call. Well it turns out they never ordered the parts so i told them to forget it.

For what it is worth, I got this after I installed some phenolic spacers from LET on my car. I thought that I was doing a good job but there was a small VACUUM LEAK causing this. I reinstalled then correctly and got rid of the problem.

Take a piece of rediator hose and plug it into your hear then guide the open end into the areas around the valve covers to see if you hear any leaks, may be worth your time.

Enjoy and be well, WOODY

Yea.. Maroone sucks... My mom has a trailblazer.. which was making a squeaking sound.. they could not figure out what the problem... they said to come back when it gets worst so it can be easier to diagnose.. finally I look over the truck with a friend of mine... I went back there and had to show them that the grommet on the front end needed replacing.. If they can't figure it out with a computer they are worthless..

Thanks for the tip.. yea it seems to be a haul.. but, I'll drive up there for the checkup... is jeff a mechanic or is he the service advisor?? thanks so much for the advice..I'll see you on the road... hehe

Josh

Today the car acted the same way all day.. the same shake.. after I filled up with gas the shake went away.. It might be something with the seal on the gas cap??? just an idea.. not sure if any of you had your gas caps replaced and noticed an improvement..
