Cool '06 srt in Australia!

I just bought my black srt coupe...
The dealer assured me it was an o6, I said "yea right, they only made a few of those"....But he kept insisiting, knowing nothing about it.
Anyhow, I just checked, the 10th digit on my vin is a 6....
Did I get lucky?
I don't have a logo on the front or sides, which I heard an 06 should have.....

Welcome to the forum, The few 06 SRT6's that made it to the US do not have the front fender badges as those in Europe, they have the SRT6 badge located below the Crossfire name on the rear hatch. They are compiling a database of all known SRT6's, so you may want to provide the last six numbers of your vin# and become one of the few 06 SRT6's on the list and the forum. The dealers lack knowledge when it comes to this car.
Congradulations on your new car, you've got a gem....
Dennis

This one is in Australia though, not the US....
Anyway, do they differ from the 05s in any way? I don't have a cup holder....or is this normal on the srt?
Who is compiling the list you mentioned?
Also: as far as we know, how many 06s exist?

Mine is an 06 and I have the SRT6 badge on the front fenders and no badge on the back. A few differences are the logos "SRT6" are slanted on the tach and the seats and on the 05's they're upright. How many? Few. How about a picture or two. Include the VIN if you would be so kind.

yep I've got the slanted writing, and I'll take pictures shortly.
Did I mention it was sold as new? The dealer says it came in a recent shipment, so are we to assume that there are 06s sitting around in containers in the US?
also:
Does anyone know where I can get the badge for the side and front? The Euro ones have both, Right?

I bought mine new (60 miles, never titled) from a dealer here in Puerto Rico about 6 weeks ago. Seems like most 06's got lost at sea and are now being found.

Mine has a cup holder. Badges only on the front fenders. Nothing on the front or back.

You got real lucky, just like me.

This is list is for the VIN numbers. I know the badges are being sold, but I'm not sure if its on EBay or somewhere else. Do a search on this forum and you will find it.

Here you go. Works for holding the detail spray. See post No. 2.

That is odd. Your hatch is badged just like an '05 SRT and your dash has the '06 slanted SRT in it. Have never seen a stock Crossfire with that pocket in place of the cup holder either. Very nice car. You will enjoy the ride and power.

That pocket is nice for a cell phone. Yep you got a one off little bit of everything. Maybe it's an 2005.5?

what's the history on the 06s anyway?
Why so few?
I heard they may not have been intended for sale....just showcars and such.
also:
according to wikicars.com, the srt6 actually has been found to dyno at 349 bhp, not 330....the figures understated to not compete with the slk 32 amg...anyone know about that?
