Default CEL at the track today...

I went to the track today. The weatherman was wrong again. Temp in the low 80's not low 70's. I only made 4 runs as I got a CEL on the last one. I didnt hav the OBD reader with me so I opted to leave and not worry about it. Of course after I leave the CEL goes out and never returns. When I got home and put the reader on it the DTC was P0108, MAP reading above limit. I looked at all the paramters it captured and here is what I can remember. (It dumped them before I could get them downloaded of course.)
MAP= 69.9in/Hg (about 20.3psi)
MAF= ~89 CFM? (this is the number I am unsure of)
ECT=213
IAT=192
Veh Speed=105
Load=99.8
TPS=99.6
RPM=5925
STFT=0
LTFT=0
Spart= -12(?)
It seems odd that it would through a CEL for a MAP reading of 20psi. To me anyway.
I didnt do to good at the track. The best run was 12.67@112.6mph, two 12.7's and a 12.8. I couldnt hook up good and spun a little on every launch. The track wasnt prepped at all. I beat up on a 07 Mustang GT 4.6L with a KB supercharger. He says he was getting sideways and got out of it. I think he did get out of it as he was Waaaayyyyy behind me. Dont know if he was getting sideways or not. I could see his grill in my mirror. I really need to get those new MT's I guess.

That is weird! I have never seen a 181 car hit max PSI.

Not to hyjack this thread, but this is my reading from the track a while ago. Can someone please explain to me what im seeing here? How to tell boost? A/F ratio? Some are self explainatory, but I know there are ways you can extract some info in some of these readings. Thanks!

It looks like your boost is about 19.9psi.

I just did a search for 'convert kpa to psi'. To convert kilopascals(KPA) to pounds per square inch, multiply the kpa value by .14503773773020923. Then subtract 14.696 for one atmosphere. So your at about 19.2psi. I only subtracted 14 the first time.

I know this isn't relevant to your question, but you really need to invest in an upgraded heat exchanger! Your IAT's are really high. I'm sorry if I sound like Captain Obvious, but I wasn't sure if you noticed the IAT reading you recorded.

Yes, I saw it. And I will fess up to the cause for my poor times and the high temps. It is embarassing...
When I was making the bracket for my surge tank I was taking the fan in and out to check fitting and mount the bracket. When I went out to clean up the fan and other plugs from my 'oil blow' incident I found the fan plug was sitting UNDERNEATH the connector. Looking down from above it looked seated from a quick look. I reached down to pull it and found it below the connector. It is amazing to me that the car stayed at almost normal temps with no radiator fan running. It also expains why my SC was so much hotter than normal. Duh! When you take something apart, check EVERYTHING TWICE when you put it back together!

Embarassed but smarter.
