cruznquik had a great idea on the Diablo forum.
Diablo seemed to be impressed by the Caliber SRT4 list provided by that group.
Thanks.
Im curious to this as why someone would be so interested. Personally I would rather have someone like LET do my tune as they know the car so well.
They have remote tuners that they can send out so you don't have to send your ecu now, and have the switch tune coming out soon as well.
I must not understand this very well...any help appreciated.
Thanks

It would be nice to be able to do that yourself without having to send the ECU out, or having to pay someone to come do it. That kind of thing.
I just got Jerry's tune about a month ago and it is great but with the Diablo i can (I think) put the tune that is in my car ,,,stock or upgrades, into the diablo along with a stock suppied by Diablo,, i can get tune for 93 pump gas for the street, 93 pump for the track set up (incase i can't get 100 oct unleaded) or i can tune at the track for 100 oct or 110 oct if i want,, the Diablo will have a few, maybe 4 tunes in it for you to pick at will. jim

The main reason a lot of companies haven't come out with something UNIVERSAL like this is that there are many security obstacles.
Even with the hardware LET and I have we still needed to purchase seperate unlock keys for all the possible combinations of Hardware and software in the Crossfires. Rough cost: $10,000.00. Then you need to add in the tuning software which is 100% different then what is available in the domestic and Japanese markets. Rough Cost: $15,000.00. After all that you still are very limited to what you can do though the OBDII port, especially with a Mercedes car.
I think it can be done, but nowhere near the price of 300-600 for a universal unit.

as you know i just got my tune from jerry when he was in fl.and i like it but some times i go to the track and don;t have race fuel and the Diablo would let me tune the wat i want (((if they do it))) I didn't know it but one of the key people of diablo went to school with my kids,,, he and his brother use to come to my house for me to tune the carb. or tell them to do when they had a problem .. so we might have a better chance to get it done i hope so anyway,,, i am not tring to take away anything from TVT, you guys are great i have your tune and pullies(not installed yet) and we all thank you keep up the great work,, in facr Jerry has spoke to me about the intake as i had come up with a inline filter ,i just built a intake that uses the stock on the left side and a 3" piping on the left side may not look great under the hood (yet) but boy does it work. if you check I made and sold over 2000 intakes for the pt gt and mine flowed better than all the named manf. i thanks again just to let you know i have owned my car 3 months now ,, been to the track 6 times , changed the tune , the exhaust the grille and the intake all for performance,, as Obama and McCain have both said we need change,,,jim

Yeah theres little chance of Diablo making one unless they had a similar car to go off of, and they don't. The other Chrysler SRTs are nothing at all like the crossfires in terms of computing, or engine build. Though the tranny is similar, right? From mercedes? I believe so. The crossfire is at the end of its life so it makes even less sense.
But its always worth a shot.
