hood

this is not really specific to any of the models but i have a srt so i tought i woul dput it here. I see everyone do this and i feel like a dumba$$ becasue i can't figure it out. How do you make the hoods on the car go so straight up. I can't figure out where you move the pistion to. Do you have to drill new holes or what. If you can help that would be great thanks.

There are little release buttons on either end of the big part of the strut.

Wanna know something funny, i didnt even know our cars did this until last month when BLKFIN did it on his car and i was like "wtf dude you broke it".
