Definately interested. Must be bolt-on. Aluminized steel is fine, 3". I have 3" on my 2.0 liter WRX.

I'm betting that there isn't gonna be that much interest. After all there are only 3,000 SRT-6's, and the mod isn't gonna produce much horsepower - what, maybe five, ten if you're really lucky. So it ends up being a "sound" mod. $400 to $700 is steep just to make it sound "cool".

Just my two cents.

I'd love a set but, like Tom above, the price would be a killer. If it could be dropped to the $300 - $500 range I'd start setting aside some bucks today.
Count me as 'interested'.

I would be very very interested in a full downpipe and catback system but it seems that no one is making a downpipe for our cars. Am i missing something? Is it that hard or would it not really do anything for our cars? I'm just curious becaue my brother and his friend have an STI and an EVO respectivly and they both have 3" full turboback systems on their cars with pretty good gains coming from both and from my understanding the downpipe is what really gives the gains. Now with this said if either the full or the catback system is available I'd want it to be 3" with some nice looking tips, although I do love the tips on the SRT now I can't afford to be picky in this case. Oh and bolt on would be pretty important. Thanksss

we are trying really hard to solve the 3-inch pipe dilemma. there is NOT a lot of room under the car for 3-inch clearance. i will keep you all posted.....

If someone made front pipes with out the secondary cats and high flow primary cats I would be all over it.

we are looking at the front pipes. this may end up being being the best area to widen and get bigger gains. hi-flow cats will be a MUST because otherwise there will be too much exhaust cackle.

it's going to take more time for us, but on this car, it's well worth it! we want it to be perfect!

Sounds Interesting.... Like to see if this mod ever makes production. Hope So! Interested if it's stainless. Make it from materals that last. Don

Are we talking about the two front cats and everything behind them? Or what exactly?

here's what we are looking at so far, 4 different options to be decided upon:

1. everything new from the headers back (only cats will be high-flow pre-cats)

-or-
2. a SEPARATE bolt-on front pipe kit to bolt to stock exhaust. (like a downpipe kit for turbos)

-or-

3. catback exhaust with rear cats eliminated.

-or-

4.front pipes AND catback.

we have the car stripped apart and are trying many, many options. we are trying SO HARD to make this as bolt-on as possible.

obviously, including the headers and/or front pipes would increase our price closer to $1,000.

Im 100% in for front pipes. Catback would depend on how much money I have set aside at the time.

Since I'm suspecting I could have a dead driver's cat... I'd be very interested in a setup that gives new, and preferrably high-flow, cats.

Honestly, $1000 is too bad for a full setup that includes everything after the stock manifolds, at least not for a car this rare.

I thought the first set of cats was a fairly high flow design. I would ditch the second set, and use a slip on style pipe with stainless band clamps for install. This way the purchaser only needs to cut the factory exhaust in the same location on each side and slide in the new one. This saves the trip to a muffler shop along with the additional cost. If the factory cat are not worth keeping then go from the headers back. Since you are mocking up sets why not have two options available full and catback.

The SRT comes factory with thin walled - High Flow Cat's - that's why there so expensive to replace.

Here is a great website for the C32 but it also has a lot of info for the SLK32.

http://www.c32life.com/stats.htm

Scroll down to the "Sound of Power" paragraph - also there is a great paragraph on the "Intelligent, Electromagnetic Supercharger Activation"

Some pretty good info at this sight...

LOL. That's almost funny now that I have a CAI and a pulley. Not only do you hear the SC engage, you certainly feel it.
